Grandy's

Passing thru Georgia looking for a place to eat off of I-95. The menu looked good. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Place looked fairly new so everything was bright and clean. I had the 1/4 roasted chicken w mashed potatoes n greenbeans. The flavor was delicious and the meat was super juicy for white meat. The greenbeans had that good homemade flavor. The husband had the fried shrimp w mac n cheese n greenbeans. He said the flavor was really good and fresh. Definitely a good place for when you want that home cooked flavor and @ an affordable price for the whole family.

Such kind people. It's kinda slow but 9x outt 10 your food will be hot. The sweet tea is good. Their cinnamon rolls are great. If you don't want to make your own. Lol. The new restaurant is very nice and clean. French fries are yummy ....chicken nuggets are yummy. My husband loves the LOCAL shrimp dinner. Rolls are outta sight.

From Out of State, decided on this place via Google reviews for breakfast. Went through the Drive-Thru and my first thought was breakfast must be good because the line went out to the street. Could not find the menu anywhere online so I had to wait to get to the front. Felt bad for taking so long. I decided on Sausage Deluxe Sandwich, Biscuits & Gravy Meal with Sausage and Chicken, Chicken Biscuit Sandwich and a cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious! The biscuits are so good. They went well with all that I ordered. Nice and fluffy and full of flavor. My husband is a cinnamon roll fan and he loves y'all's cinnamon roll. Totally worth the wait in the Drive-Thru. We solely stopped here based on the long line through the drive-thru every morning! Their to-go breakfast is super affordable and quite good. My favorite item is the breakfast steak. The eggs were cooked well, but do need salt/pepper added for flavor. We never dined in as we had our dog with us, but enjoyed to-go breakfast several times. Their drive-thru is always popping, but the wait isn't bad at all (10 minutes tops).

I eat here about twice a month. I have gotten somewhat bored with their very predictable cooking. For example, the country fried steak dinner is just okay. The steaks are all the same shape, texture, and flavor, as if they were stamped on a conveyor belt, and covered with a thinnish flour and cream gravy. Completely predictable each and every time, with the same sides. It's adequate, just not very interesting anymore. If it's a nice yeasty dinner roll your first time here, you can be assured that its exact clone will be served. But, where's some honey and butter? How about some tasty strawberry jam?

We came for the memories and left full and happy. Thank you Grandy's of Brunswick for allowing my wife to relive one of her college memories. She has been talking about the cinnamon rolls from her for years in Gainesville, Florida. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, along with the collard greens. We will definitely be back. Went back, still great!!!
