Waves Coffee House

I love going to Waves, the staff are always friendly and strive to make great quality beverages. There have been a few times where they've added the wrong milk to my drink but I generally carry my lactose pills with me so it hasn't been too much of a problem. If you have serious issues with milk choice, just be sure to really let them know. They do try their best! One star less because I'm not a big fan of their rewards program and wish they had more of a "buy this many drinks, get one free" system.

Good coffee, good location in downtown, very spacious and good seating arrangements. Nice place for a coffee date. Prices are similar to Starbucks and they have food selection as well. No parking whatsoever so either park on the street or in parking lots where payment is require depending on the time. Wheelchair accessible. Has washroom for customers. They have drinks that can be made dairy free.

I think Waves has a few locations in Calgary. The place is cozy and good for chatting but isn't very trendy looking. They also have wifi so you can do work without much distractions. I had a normal coffee which was like $2.50 and I believe their lattes are almost $5 which is normal for an independant coffee shop but still a little pricey. There is a good selection of food for a decent price. I The coffee was ok but I think I prefer other places like Analog. I would try their lattes next time as I saw in pictures that they have nice latte art.

I love the atmosphere of this local cafe! The tile work on the front counter where you order is gorgeous, and the stay is super friendly! We had an awesome conversation about coffee with the barista there and he made the best London fog and latte for us! Also there’s a unicorn on top of their fireplace and I was hooked! Unicorns are the best so glad to say I will be back for the great service, tea/coffee, and the unicorn!
