Get there before sundown as it is worth walking around the foreshore, and specially watching the sun go down.
When you are hungry you have a wide range of restaurant types including a one hat restaurant. Then another walk around the foreshore to not only let the food go down, but to check out the view of the far shoreline, especially under moonlight.
You have to pay for car parking up until 5 or 530, then it is free. Plenty of spots available opposite.

Excellent view, very well maintained, brilliant landscape. Dotted around with multi cuisine restaurants, surroundings make it a posh residential area. A good spot, area for a weekend gathering.

I visited the bus depot markets. It’s average fare I liked the markets before they redeveloped it. All they have is some clothing and other stuff. Nothing significant. The food court has limited choices. Parking was difficult. I honestly felt that is overhyped.

Some great bustling restaurants here, beautiful view and atmosphere. Wish there was a little park or something for the kids too but a great place to come without them for a drink!

The foreshores are ok, very sensitised area, lots of small businesses, and very little parking, sure people who live there can park under ground nice, but people using the business park outside with little to no parking, very usual for Canberra's set up. This area is not for me.

FNtastic place to stroll and have a coffee. Kids can run around and not bug others. Recommend you got when the markets close by are on.

Amazing place, kind of like a hidden gem full of nice restaurants perfect to watch the sunset.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area for a varied selection of different foods from an array of cafes along the waterfront. Walking the foreshore is picturesque and scenic.
