The Wild Fig

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at “the wild fig restaurant” this past Monday and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exquisite cuisine. We ordered the butter chicken and lamb shank, and each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The butter chicken was rich and right amount of spice made it more flavourful, while the lamb shank was so succulent it practically melted in our mouths. Chef Abi, greeted us and offered us the wild fig cake making it the perfect ending to our meal. Our whole dining experience was truly elevated by the personal touch from Chef Abi himself. He took the time to come to our table and inquire our experience. We will surely visit again.

I ordered the crispy duck while my friend had the lamb shank. On the day, my duck was overcooked, and the manager offered any other dish on the menu. I then also opted for the lamb shank, which was absolutely delicious. The service was really outstanding. When the bill arrived, management did not charge me for my lamb shank, which was most thoughtful and welcome. I'd highly recommend The Wild Fig and would certainly return there.

Lovely setting, nice food, lamb ragout was very tasty but the 3 or 4 small bones spoiled it a bit, almost broke a tooth, still a great place with a nice selection of dishes and friendly staff, worth a visit. JULY2023: OK, I've added a 4th star, was there this evening, and both my starter (baked camembert) and my main (butter chicken curry) were great. Curry was mild and tasty and the basmati rice was excellent! Service was great too!
