Food Xchange

Their customisable salad service and their juices are fantastic. However, the new manager (I have never seen the tall big guy before) is rude to his team. I felt uncomfortable with how they were being treated during a couple of recent visits. Not cool. 😕 Edit: the salad prices are still the same, but the portion size have definitely been made much smaller. Not worth it.

I am so displeased with Food Xchange’s customer service. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered burgers, fries, and drinks off Menulog. When the order arrived, we received two roast dinner meals. Very clearly not our order. We called the restaurant and were told, “Oh yeah we know you got the wrong order,” proving to us they know they messed up. We were then told, “Get in your car and come pick up your order. Throw the other food in the trash.” First off, we paid for delivery. We did not pay to go to the restaurant to pick up our food. Second, we do not have a car (which is why we ordered delivery), so this is not an easy thing to do. Third, when we confronted the restaurant that this is their mistake and they should have solutions (i.e. their own delivery service/driver or someone on staff to handle when these problems arise), we got silence on the phone and were eventually told, “just get a refund with Menulog.” Then, the restaurant hung up on us. We called back, asking again how they were going to fix their mistake. Again, followed by silence. There was never an apology. Never an attempt to try to get us our correct food (other than having us drive to them to pick it up). Never an offer of trying to make amends. These third party apps like Menulog make it too easy for restaurants to neglect responsibility when it comes to issues like this, and vise versa. I understand mistakes like this can happen (hey, we're all human), but as a business owner Food Xchange should have protocols in place in correcting issues when these things happen or at least pretend to be apologetic. It’s very disappointing and frustrating because we chose this restaurant due to their high ratings. With our experience, Food Xchange showed us they do not care about their customers’ experience. We will not be ordering or dining here in the future.

A small door front leading into a spacious cafe with a window looking at the turning rotisserie chickens, colourful salads & tantalising smells. There is a good selection on the menu for breakfast, lunch & food to go. The chickens smell delicious & after hearing great things I finally tried it. Its free range, very sizeable bird, rubbed in their own blend of spices (also in the stuffing) and is juicy, tender and delicous. Got a couple of the salads to go which were nice also. Generous portions that stuffed 4 adults to the brim. Definitely want to try the roast pork & burgers next time.
