Knockout Pizzeria

We had came here this past Thursday to grab some grub after spending about 2 hours at the beach and getting hit by waves and having fun at the park area on the sand. We had got the half and half deal (Chef's special and Pepperoni) and thw Pepperoni was good however the chef's special was too much on the spicy side for me (my oldest daughter loved it though!). Overall the place is good to get some people when we made our order there was a big line of people trying to order as well. If you're looking for a pizza this place will do (the service and hospitality was nice if you're not into spicy food do not get the Chef's special). Way to go K.P.!!!

Overpriced pizza with way too much hype. Went here yesterday to get 2 pizzas for the beach. After I ordered it took 40 minutes to receive our food. 40 minutes for a pizza that should take 5 minutes to make and 90 seconds to cook. Yes there was a big line but 40 minutes is unacceptable for pizza. They aren't cooking a steak with multiple sides it is just pizza. While the pizza was good its is not worth $20 in the slightest. For the same price I could get 4 pizzas from other establishments in half the time. Yes the pizza is very good and yes the kitchen is small for the amount of people going there but I do not see myself coming here again after that experience. I normally dont write bad reviews but the whole rest of the night was ruined due to having to wait so long. After our pizzas where done we still had to wait around 5 minutes to actually grab them because the only person who was actually giving out the food was taking orders. If all of this is just a staffing issue I have a easy fix, pay your employees more so they show up and work quickly.

I was sitting on the Patio of Pure Project enjoying a flight of beers with some friends when all of the sudden I hear none other than the verbose feel good music of Frank Sinatra approaching. I look over and see a delivery driver screech to a stop. The man was obviously in his element as he was singing the song word-for-word and thoroughly enjoying his own performance. He steps out of the car and walks around to the back door. He pulls out two insulated pizza delivery bags. Each move he made was rhythmically choreographed to the song as if he had practiced hundreds if not thousands of times before. He walked toward the side walk as the song came to a long and drawn out end (horns blaring, cymbals crashing). The jaw of each and every man, woman, dog and child at the Carlsbad Village dropped to admire what I can only describe as the most elegant example of human perfection any of us had ever seen. The blissful joy of the recipient was a sight to behold. We all cheered and celebrated this delivery drivers magnificence and the last thing we laid eyes on as he drove off into the sunset along PCH was his white Johnny Bravo socks. I've never tried Knockout Pizza, but being present for this moment in history was enough for me to etch the story into the tablet of time, so that others could know the tale of the most incredible delivery driver there ever was.
