Amazing food and service with great ambiance. We had the biscuits and gravy, French toast, and an orange white chocolate scone and each were delicious. Even though we had to sit outside because of fraudulent governor orders, they had heaters and comfortable outside furniture. Will definitely be back.

The staff was pretty nice and helpful. And we enjoyed our food. However they don’t enforce their customers to wear masks. At least four customers came in without wearing masks. It started to get crowded and I felt very unsafe. I know it’s a state-wide mandate so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just ask them to do so. Or least take their order outside. I think it would have been a great experience if they just would cared more about the customer’s safety rather than just pleasing their locals who refuse to follow rules.

This was by far my favorite stop on my trip to southeast New Mexico! It was a nice quaint little coffee shop off the main strip. Everyone working was extremely nice and hustling to get all orders filled. I would highly recommend anyone stopping in at or traveling through the Carlsbad area to visit Blue House Cafe. They have great coffee and breakfast options that will suite all who are hungry.

My girl and I stopped here for a quick breakfast before going to Carlsbad Caves. Got the French toast and bagel sandwich along with a hot chocolate for my girl. I ordered two over easy eggs, a piece of toast, and a water for myself. I prefer a smaller breakfast. Well we got to the caves and everything was there except for my eggs and water. So I had a piece of bread for breakfast. No one in the establishment had masks on either (employees or customers) and some customers made a rude comment about my Fiancé’s Nike shorts on the way inside. We came from Texas where it’s hot plus we’ve been on the road for hours dressed for comfort. She has Nike shorts on get over it? Maybe it’s because we’re an interracial couple that would explain all the sideways looks or maybe they were shocked masks were present.
