Blake's Lotaburger

I ordered a cheese burger Ordered it well done and it was raw. I couldn’t take it back cause I live on natl parks hwy .my bread was soggy. And I was so disappointed. I had heard so many good things about your restaurant. But I won’t ever order again. I had just ordered not even 5 min and it was done but not well done

The only reason I’m giving you 1 star is because food is so good. I was the car in the drive-thru and no one else in front. Waited 3-4 minutes for someone to take order. Could barely hear the attendant. Drove to window and was given my drinks within 1 minute. One was a milkshake. Took 11-12 more minutes to get food. Milkshake was almost milk by then. Time delay is completely unacceptable! The worse part is that it NEVER gets better. Service has been this way before COVID too! At these prices, I will not be coming back! The food is the only reason you may have customers but that may change as in my case.

I come to Carlsbad every year or so. There are a lot more options now than there were 7 years ago when I first cameinto town. Blake's has consistently been my go to for a great burger. My only criticism is the wait in the drive thru. But you know they must be doing something right when there are that many people waiting happily in line. 5 stars because the wait is WORTH EVERY SECOND!!!

The evening shift on Tuesday 3/29/2022 was horrible. The guy who was on the fryer needed to pull up his pants and at least comb his hair, so he didn't look like he just crawled out of bed. The one kid was clueless on what to do. The girl who was in her pj's didn't need to be behind the counter. We went back on Thursday 3/31/22 after lunch and the service was great. The guy who helped us was awesome and very friendly.

I really used to enjoy Blake's Lotaburger. I prefer to support a restaurant chain such as Blake's that has it's roots in New Mexico. Unfortunately, this location in Carlsbad has been spiraling down in food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. District Manager Javier Guevara refused me entry into the business unless I wear a face mask. Ironically, I had no idea who he was and I was holding the door open for him as he carried something into the store. Not only did he not thank me for holding the door, he rudely demanded that I need to put on a mask if I want to enter. The parking lot is trashed and the bathrooms are always filthy, but he's worried about healthy people wearing a piece of cloth over their face. Ridiculous. Hopefully Blake's Lotaburger suffers the same fate as so many small businesses ruined by the NM Governor's unconstitutional mandates. The Blake's green chile cheeseburgers and breakfast burritos used to be the best anywhere around. Now, the quality of all the food at this restaurant has severely declined. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Carlsbad area that offer better quality food and customer service than you'll find at Blake's.
