Torchys Tacos

Super good, but HUGE tacos! I thought three was a meal but I could barely get through two -they're like small burritos. I got mine to go - the restaurant looked far too crowded for my taste - and I am sad that they didn't put any limes in my order like they were supposed to come with. And I'll probably try other places before I come back here again but it was very good.

Food good, sometimes not so good. First, they changed their drinks from craft drinks (real sugar) to coke products (high fructose corn syrup). Must be cost cutting. The shrimp tacos were could. Our 6'3" son ordered a third. The brisket and shrimp tacos were good per my lovely bride. I had salmon and fajita. I can only remember gnawing on the fajita beef to get it to cut with my sharp teeth until finally, a long 7 inch piece of gristle slides out. This was definitely easy to see when cooking, yet still cooked and served. Not so impressed. This is a convenient place to stop when hitting the HEB center for a spurs or stars game. However, given the change in drinks and a nasty meal surprise, we will have to think about returning for the 10th time. I hope they improve.

People have their drama with Torchys or it being a chain. I thinks they're great. The ones I've been too (except in Pflugerville) are well stocked and the staff is friendly. This location was no exception. Polite and friendly at the register. The guy who brought our food out was nice too. Mr Orange salmon was cooked perfectly and everything was fresh from the guacamole to my other tacos. It was nice to dine on their patio and get out, plus have a quality meal for lunch in these "unprecedented times".
