Gigi's Cupcakes

Previously a 5-star place. However, this location despite being a franchise is no longer participating in the rewards program. We already drive an hour to get to this location and usually buy additional cupcakes to the free one. I understand some abuse it, but not letting customers use points they already earned is unfair. I would rather they require purchase with the free cupcake.

Firstly, we love Gigi's because they always have several gluten-free cupcake options which is hard to find sometimes! My oldest son has food allergies, so it's wonderful to have safe dessert options. Secondly, the staff is wonderful. On 12/23, my family of 5 had been in isolation for about 11 days at that point after we all contracted COVID (my husband and I are healthcare workers). As a way to get out of the house, I took the kids on a drive to look at Christmas lights. I called the store to see if they would be willing to take my order and let me pay telephonically, and then once I arrived, if they would also be willing to come to the parking lot and put the box of cupcakes on the hood of my car so that I could retrieve them once they left, thereby having no contact with them so that we were still following isolation protocols. They didn't hesitate at all. It may seem like a small thing, but our kids range in ages 5-13, and after being cooped up, sick, and then knowing that we were going to miss time with our family over the holidays, getting to look at lights and eat cupcakes in the car was really a bright moment in an otherwise miserable time. We are now regular customers, where before it was a rare indulgence. They MORE than earned my business and my appreciation by their kind, generous act.

So happy to have found this cupcake place! I wanted to surprise my daughter for an early birthday treat after school. I picked up 4 cupcakes (strawberry shortcake, lemon dream, birthday surprise, and white pumpkin) to try as this was my first time there. Not only were they beautiful but they were very good. The cupcakes were very moist and delicious! The frosting was a generous amount, which we thoroughly enjoyed! They were a little on the sweet side but no complaints there for us, as we love sweets! We were supposed to pick up a cake for her actual birthday, but she insisted on having more of Gigi’s cupcakes instead. We’ll definitely be back for more and to try the other flavors. The second time, we tried German chocolate, s’mores, and wedding cake, in addition to the other ones we’ve already tried (and love!). All of them were very good!

Awful customer services. I called earlier this week enquiring about vegan cupcakes. They informed me I need to place an order 24 hours in advance with a minimum of 1 dozen order..... sure no problem. I call this morning to place the order for an event at 5pm tomorrow and the manager now said it has to be 48 hours in advance.... I asked even if it’s tomorrow PM and I’m calling in the AM? Well you just lost my business for a fairly large order.....
