Paco's Tacos And Tequila

Never been here before. Stopped by for a late lunch. Sat at bar. Immediately greeted by bartender and someone brought out chips/salsa. Pretty extensive menu. I just ordered 2 crispy beef tacos and a 12oz draft. Chips were nice and crunchy. Salsa good, but could have been a little spicier for my tastes. Tacos didn't take long. Nice size, fresh crisp shell. Plenty of meat, nice flavor. Pretty tasty. This is a place I'd definitely come to and try for dinner.

Went to Paco’s Tacos and Tequila with two of my friends on their recommendation. They definitely have a cool space and it was very busy on a Tuesday night. I thought they might have taco Tuesday specials, but they had no food or drink specials that night. We sat down right away and our server was Julian. It was one of those nights that once one thing went wrong, everything went wrong. Before I explain, Julian did try his best to make everything right and we did ended up giving him a very big tip. I think they were just way overwhelmed and understaffed like most places. My one friend didn’t get her drink for 20 minutes and then was told that they didn’t have the tequila she asked for. I ordered the ranch water with a tequila infusion and they ended up bringing me the infusion in a margarita and the ranch water separate. My friend ordered two tacos for her husband for the ride home and they gave her a taco plate. I ordered fajitas and got mine first and my friends ordered a salad and two tacos got theirs afterwards. The food was mediocre. The best thing was the queso. I had veggie fajitas and they didn’t have a lot of taste. My friend loved the taco salad. She told me she eats it every time. I maybe should’ve ordered that. My friend who ordered the two tacos thought they were pretty good. My drinks were OK. I’m not sure if I would go back but maybe.

I ate dinner at Paco's Tacos & Tequila for the first time on a busy Saturday night. We were a group of 14 with reservations at 6:15. They brought us to our table right on time, so I was already impressed with this restaurant. For an appetizer, we had the unholy guacamole that they make at your table. It was so good with the chips. I had the pork carnitas for my meal, and I loved it. The pork was cooked perfectly. Paco's Tacos also has a fantastic selection of margaritas. I really enjoyed everything about this restaurant and look forward to coming back.

I was looking forward to having some excellent food on my girls weekend in Charlotte but never once did I think I would find the best Mexican restaurant right here in North Carolina. Living out west for almost thirty years I have eaten some great Mexican food from New Mexico to California and everywhere in between. From green chili sauce in NM to Colorado style Chili Relleno with Green Chili to CA fish tacos. To say I have eaten at over 100 Mexican restaurants would be a total understatement. So let’s get to why this place is soooo good! First of our server, Patrick was fabulous and very attentive. He was fast and friendly and had wonderful drink recommendations. They have a book of tequilas all agave I might add. The drink I ordered was tasty and strong. Just like I like them to be. The chips came out warm and the salsa had a wonderful heat that lingered in my mouth with such a wonderful flavor that it was as hard not to fill up on them. The table side guacamole was big and made with quality ingredients. The flavor was just perfect. I ordered the two taco plates and for $19 it was definitely priced correctly as it is so wonderful and filling . They had several options to choose from. I had the Tanked up with was a grilled mahi mahi it also comes beer battered . It was bright and crisp and the had a wonderful chipotle ranch sauce. I had them to put it on a classic corn tortilla. I also order the Gringo beef which was made with ground beef. I always order a ground beef taco at every restaurant. It is how I judge all Mexican restaurants. It was packed full of fresh ingredients. The soft tortilla held up to the stack of filling really nicely. The beans and rice are really amazing. I love how they serve the beans in their own bowl instead of slapping it on the plate. Also beans is another dish I always order because if your refried beans aren’t good can you really say you have a good restaurant? My friend ordered the chimichanga, it was almost the size of her head. So just know that you will leave here very full and happy. We chose to take our Tres Leche cake to go and wow one of the best I’ve ever had!! The milk mixture was incredible and not to sweet . I was wondering as I ate it how they accomplished it. Such a perfect balance of cake and milks. So if you love Mexican food as much as me you MUST try this place. The freshness alone is a reason to go. Not to mention strong affordable drinks and flavors that explode in your mouth! Thanks for a wonderful experience! I will 💯 be back!!!

This was our first time at Paco’s Tacos and we were so happy with our experience! I love great tacos and salsa and they didn’t disappoint! The salsa had just the right amount of heat, and the Al Pastor & Paco Tacos were both delicious! I was there for a work lunch so I wasn’t able to experience the wide variety of tequila, but will definitely be going back, and having a Cadillac margarita! 🍹

Pacos Tacos & Tequila offers a fantastic experience with a vibrant ambiance, ethnic decor, and great lighting. The music sets the mood and adds to the lively atmosphere. The food was simply amazing, especially the chicken enchiladas which were cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and complemented by all the right ingredients. The veggie fajitas were also outstanding, with crunchy and flavorful vegetables served alongside rice and black beans. Our server, Jocelyn, did an exceptional job, providing excellent recommendations and delivering attentive and courteous service. We even requested roasted corn on the side, which was specially prepared for us and turned out to be absolutely delicious. Overall, our Friday night date at Pacos Tacos & Tequila was a wonderful experience. This versatile establishment is ideal for family dinners, intimate birthday parties, and they also boast an extensive tequila menu for enthusiasts.

Julian, our server, was PHENOMENAL!! He was incredibly attentive, perfectly bilingual, and super friendly. His recommendations were spot-on, and we loved having him as our server! First of all, the salsa served for the table is DELICIOUS, the perfect balance of spicy and flavorful. The enchiladas are delicious and all plate portions are huge. The guacamole is fresh, perfectly prepared, and made in-house, a must-try here. We all left the restaurant super satisfied and with enough for leftovers! This is truly the best Tex-Mex I have had in the entire city. We will be back!!
