131 Main Restaurant

The 4 of us enjoyed a fantastic evening at 131. We immediately remarked how much we liked the atmosphere. We had brought 2 bottles of wine (no corking fee - yea) and were given appropriate wine glasses. Our four entrées were splendid. Shrimp and grits, rainbow trout, crab cakes, and cedar plank grilled salmon. Absolutely delicious. Our server was delightful ... and extremely pleasant. What a wonderful evening.

Wonderful weeknight experience for a group birthday dinner, including prompt and thoughtful service! Don't miss out on: Appetizers: Deviled eggs were seasoned to perfection and fresh chips with a trio of dips (pimento cheese, guacamole, salsa) The cast iron corn bread was hot, melty, and moist. The cheese and green chilies were so tasty! It came with delicious honey to drizzle over it and we couldn't get enough of it. Mains: Blackened scallops were cooked perfectly and portions were plentiful, polenta wedges that accompanied it had so much flavor, kale salad was absolutely amazing! Danish baby back ribs were cooked perfectly and fell right off the bone, just enough sauce on them as well. Big island ribeye steak had a pineapple and soy marinade that complimented the beef so well. Husband was very impressed, and he's a big steak guy. Cedar plank salmon was very tasty and the portion size was very nice! Maryland crab cakes were huge and so tasty! Absolutely bursting with real crab. Kids meals were adult sized hot dogs, on freshly buttered and grilled buns with shoestring french fries and they loved them. Cocktails: Absolutely get the Burning Chair if you like a bourbon, amaretto, ginger based drink with delicious hints of cherry. The Old Fashioned was made extremely well and included Elijah Craig Small Batch.

This restaurant was our first time eating here, and it was a very nice and enjoyable experience. When you enter, you're cordially greeted and seated in an adequate amount of time, especially when you have reservations. You're immediately greeted by your server. Our server was Shelby, who was the best. She was well informed about the menu and suggestions as to what we would like to eat Our food arrived at the right time and temperature and was really great from appetizers' dinner to dessert it all was a nice surprise as well and greatly appreciated We also noticed how certain staff made sure things ran smoothly throughout the evening. This is one of my boyfriend and I’d favorite restaurants. I use to work here and I’ve come here dozens of times. The food is always done well. The Double Dip, Crab Cake Salad, and Peanut Butter Pie are some of our go tos. The soups are always great and I love their cappuccinos for after dinner. The only thing I don’t like about this place is there drinks. I’ve never enjoyed any cocktail or wine I’ve ordered here.

The restaurant was nice. I have never been before. Roast chicken had the perfect skin, so tender and juicy. It's a bit pricey to me and was missing a bit of the wow factor. Everything tasted good I just don't think I was left feeling amazed and was shocked by the $6 price tag for 1 whole egg deviled. However I would definitely recommend the spot to others. Servers were great as well.

Exquisite! Maria took incredibly good care of me while I feasted on a tuna tower followed by the best side salad I’ve ever had. The crisp cabbage really set this one apart and the house dressing was delicious. My ribeye was cooked to perfection (at least in my eyes), Pittsburgh medium rare. I opted for the cheese grits and they were just the right amount of rich and savory to not overpower but leave your mouth watering. I was given a Key Lime pie that I was told was extra, but I think my many compliments may have helped. It. was. so. good. The crust was crumbly, the key lime flavor was authentic and the whipped cream was light and not too sweet. This place is clearly hitting on all cylinders. Could not have had a better dinner and could not more highly recommend.
