Angeline's

I loved the ambiance. The food was good overall. The salmon was on point. The calamari and chicken milanese lacked seasoning. They were cooked well, but they needed salt, season-all, garlic powder, and/or black pepper. This was disappointing because it describes itself as Italian cuisine with a southern twist. But it lacked the typical southern finesse/flavors. The Gelato was ok. It doesn't come close to real Italian Gelato. However, that's pretty common in the U.S across the board. Service was great and food was good enough that I would return again.

Last night, my experience at Angelina’s in Charlotte was elevated from great to unforgettable, thanks to our waiter, Alex. From the moment we stepped in, Alex greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile that set the tone for the evening. His knowledge of the menu was impressive; he provided personalized recommendations that were spot on, turning our meal into a culinary adventure. It was our friend Deliana’s Birthday and he made sure to help us celebrate it with style. What truly set Alex apart was his attentiveness and genuine care. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, refilling glasses at just the right moment and checking in to ensure our satisfaction with each course. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we felt like we were Alex’s only table, a testament to his professionalism and skill. Alex’s passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction. He shared fascinating insights about the restaurant's history and even the origins of some dishes, which added a special touch to our dining experience. His enthusiasm was infectious, making our dinner not just a meal but a delightful experience. To top it off, Alex’s timing was impeccable. He was there when we needed him, yet allowed us enough space to enjoy our meal and conversation. His service was a seamless blend of efficiency, warmth, and expertise. In a city filled with dining options, Angelina’s stands out, and Alex is a shining star in their team. His exceptional service has not only ensured that we will return, but also that we will recommend Angelina’s to friends and family. If you're in Charlotte, do yourself a favor and dine at Angelina’s. Ask for Alex; you won’t be disappointed!

Pete at Angeline's is an absolute gem! His impeccable service and genuine hospitality made our dining experience truly exceptional. The ravioli was an absolute delight, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Pete's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. We highly recommend Angeline's, and make sure to ask for Pete!

Great atmosphere and food. Loved the whipped ricotta and the mussels. Those were definitely worth coming here for. I actually came because I excited to try their Branzino, which is pictured on Google. I was a little disappointed that the only seafood entree on the menu when I arrived was salmon. It didn’t quite align with the other menu options. Farm raised salmon is one of the cheapest fish you can buy and is not justifiable at this price point no matter how you prepare it. I figured it would be worth trying either way. I was told it is prepared medium and it came out really over cooked. I wasn’t really impressed with it at all and wouldn’t order in the future. Hopefully they bring the Branzino back at some point. I’d definitely give this place another shot.

I took my family here for their first visit to Charlotte, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! Our server, Alex, was so personable, and he took care of everything we could’ve possibly needed and more! We truly felt that we were the only table in the restaurant. He was knowledgeable about the menu, gave phenomenal recommendations, and was extremely thoughtful. The chefs put together the most amazing appetizers, meals, and desserts… I cannot put into words how tasty everything was!! You cannot go wrong with any dish you choose, and be sure to get dessert (even if you are full)! Overall, wonderful service and truly delicious food!
