The food here is good. Meridith at the bar offers great service. I can tell they care about the quantity of ingredients.

Just started going here through a recommendation from a friend. I've tried the wings, the pitas, and the brotherly love philly. All of which were great! The chef John helped with recommendations. Wednesday night they have musical bingo! So nice family fun! Saturday night they have live music! Also they have a big patio which is great for big groups. Daily drink specials! Bill depends on drinks ordered

Have to update you, their pizza is really yummy. My new place for pizza. They deliver in a 5 mile radius and the pizzas look really good. I had the chicken parm with angel hair pasta, it was good but if you like extra garlic you should ask for it, loved the salad too. I will definitely come back. Next time I will ask for Gina as she seemed to be a good server, my server was ok but green. After dinner I went to the bar for a beer cause I didn't like nor drink my sauvignon blanc that wasn't on the menu yet. The bartender Meredith was fantastic, I might just sit at the bar next time. She makes you feel at home. I had to raise the service a star just for her. Thanks Meredith.

Went there for lunch today and had the buffalo chicken salad. If your a fan of buffalo flavor, you won't be disappointed. Romaine, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles and onion. Paired with ranch dressing or whatever dressing you like. Really good.

During an 8 month stay in Charlotte, I frequently found myself with a few hours to kill in the evening and the Rusty Onion was a great place to do that. The bar area was often filled with regulars who clearly have known each other for years yet were always welcoming to a new visitor. It very much had a "Cheers" kind of vibe (although - for the life of me - I can't quite remember anyone's name! LOL). Great food (my favorite was the Popeye Salad) and nice environment. Whenever I am back in Charlotte I will certainly go back to Rusty Onion for a visit.).

Pleasant experience! The staff is super friendly and the vibes in this little restaurant are top notch! The garlic knots were really tasty and my BBQ chicken sandwich was delicious. Only gripe was the wait time, I waited about half an hour for my sandwich (and I was sitting alone). However, long wait times don’t seem to be a theme so I think this was an isolated issue. Will be back!

Fantastic restaurant with exceptional food and delightful service! The atmosphere is laid back and creates a great place to relax with friends for a drink (or two) and some delicious food. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be stopping by every time I’m in Charlotte.
