On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

We've dying to hear numerous times but the service we received today from Jordan was outstanding! She mentioned that she was fairly new to the server industry but we couldn't tell, her customer service skills were outstanding and she was genuinely welcoming and friendly and a true pleasure to have as our server! Kudos to the GM for hiring her!

One of the best values for money we have enjoyed at a restaurant in years. Had the “2 for $20” deal a few times. ( appetizer, meal shared desert for two people) filling and well prepared. Had another special ( similar ) and equally enjoyable. Both times out before tip at $30. Had very good service 3 of our last four trips. Tipped 25% those times. ( once was average-tipped 18% that time). Would certainly recommend for a reasonable priced meal out. Easy parking and no wait.

My whole experience was amazing. The hostess was friendly with a smile on her face. Had Robin as our server, and she is AMAZING to say the least. She had a full section, and gave us perfect service as with all of her other tables. Drinks came out fast, and never went empty. My Big Borderito was cooked to perfection. Robin had great service the entire way through our dining experience. Making sure that we had everything. I recommend On The Border to everyone. Robin is the BEST SERVER i have ever had at any restaurant.

We arrived about 6:30pm on a Wednesday. They was starting to get busy. Our server Olivia did a wonderful job. She asked if everything tasted alright and kept us with beverages. Our food came out hot and yummy! We had the chicken fajitas, they came with the rice and beans. Very delicious. Food was hot, and didn't take very long to be served. We always enjoy the chips and salsa while waiting for our food. For dessert we had the sopapillas with the freshly made strawberry sauce. Delicious! Friendly staff, speedy service, hot food. Can't go wrong with eating at On the Border Mexican Grill &Cantina on Providence Rd.

Our family visited the Promenade location last week. It was quite crowded for a Monday night. We had a friendly, courteous server whom was very responsive even with my many water refills. We enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere with its bright colors and decor. My kids (11 and 14) loved the place and wanted to go back again the same week. We got the tacos, steak fajitas, and burritos which were all delicious. The only negative is that they charge you $1 extra if you get both the guacamole and cheese for the fajitas. I don't understand how some reviews are so picky and negative. We plan to return to OTB as a family dinner rotation.
