Jamal is the best bartender in clt! He made me a delicious drink on the fly and named it "The Basil Jess" 🤣. Funny, personable, and very kind! The food was delicious. My favorite thing was the pan-seared Gyoza. I'll be back soon!

Fantastic restaurant. The sushi is fresh, tasty, and fairly priced. I suggest to get one or two "classic" roles and maybe a specialty roll to go with it. Personally, I just go with three "classic" rolls. Remember the edamame and miso soup appetizer first!

I LOVE this place. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s the best sushi spot. I’ve never had better sushi.

I had the garlic tofu and chicken which was very good I'm going to try the Korean beef next. The Tom yum soup was just okay and I would not recommend it.
Flash forward to August 2022.
I had the 18-piece sashimi plate which was absolutely phenomenal. Portions were a bit on the small side but the sashimi with sushi grade at its best.
I also have the Tom Yum soup with shrimp which was excellent too. Would definitely go back.

The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is the construction around the place makes it difficult to easily get to. Sushi quality and selection good for this part of the country, bartenders and staff have always been friendly with indoor and outdoor seating (which overlooks the plaza courtyard). Prices aren't bad. Good selection of booze and wine. Owner takes pride in quality of the fish and seafood. It's a favorite of mine here in Charlotte.
