Mcalister's Deli

The food was great! They have better salads than some higher end restaurants. It looked like a mgr there training two employees, when a small rush came in. He maintained his composure, answered the employees questions and assisted them and went to the back to help make food. Job well done! We were there Thur Aug 31st approx 5:30 pm. Thanks!

The woman who seems to run the joint, Maria, is perhaps one of the nicest and most considerate people I've ever seen operating a restaurant, let alone a mediocre quality chain restaurant like McAlisters. The food is as you'd expect, decent quality deli type foods, a notch or so above fast food, but nothing local quality. That being said, Maria is just so nice, observant, and seems constantly intent on making sure everyone in her store is as pleased as possible. Definitely deserves its central spot in Blakeny, if only for that.

Came here with the family for a quick lunch. Staff was nice and the kids options were decent. I liked they had a salad as an option, and that was what my daughter chose. So yay! The New Yorker is what I had and it was really good. Plenty of meat, a bit light on mustard, but more was provided upon request. Potato salad was pretty good too. Similar to what you could buy in a shop like Publix or Food Lion. I was also happy to see that they have soda water from the fountain and not just regular water, that was a nice surprise. Overall, it was a pretty good meal as sandwich places go. It's superior to a subway or other sub shop for sure, the amount of meat you get is impressive too. However, if you are in Charlotte, there are much better places to get a good deli sandwich. Katz is the best in town, but this is a solid second place.

I took my Mom here and she loved it. It was her first experience with their famous spud and it gave her all the feels especially since she's on a low sodium regimen for her health. Veggie spud gave her life after a hard day of shopping at her favorite stores. Lol. Service was quick and the cashier was super friendly.

We have had positive experiences so far with calling in and picking up orders. Everything is ready when they say and so far we have received everything we paid for. And the staff has been pleasant as well. (There have been some other restaurants nearby that have not had quite as good a record with us. It's not pleasant to get home and realize that you do not have someone's food.)
