Small Cheval - Riverside

I've eaten my fair share of burgers from all over the place and I have to say this burger is in my top three. (I also wasn't expecting it to be a double cheeseburger, but I was pleasantly surprised.) It was a gastronomical experience to say the least. The fries were incredible as well. Try them with the garlic aioli from the condiment bar. The menu couldn't be simpler: Do you want a hamburger, cheeseburger, or plant based burger? Do you want fries? What would you like to drink? That's probably the hardest one to answer because they have quite a few alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The only downside is it is a bit pricey for a burger and fries. Don't take your kids. They won't appreciate it. If you're in the area and you're hungry...scratch that, even if you're not hungry, you should try one of these burgers. My wife is from SoCal and she said this is the closest to In-N-Out that she's ever had. Looking forward to my next visit. (Personally I think it's better than In-N-Out.) I should also mention that the staff was friendly and helpful too. Enjoy!

Been meaning to try out one of the Au Cheval burgers for a long time now. This probably doesn’t quite compare, but I finally had a chance to give it a shot. While a bit pricey for what it is, the burger is pretty simple and tasty. The patty itself is seasoned really well... not too much that the beef is overwhelmed, but it’s better than a plain patty.
