Anita's Gumbo

Good food! Note: This review is for the carryout place in Stoney Island! Just have to be patient when ordering, especially ordering online - you're better off just come in and order at the window. It is a carry-out only place. I'm adding photos so you can see the menu and prices. Although their prices have increased by about $0.50 for each items. They don't do full orders anymore. Which is fine by me because their half orders are plenty.

Purchased Nita's Gumbo and cornbread on Thursday. It was fantastic. Seasoned very well. Tried to call and place an order but no one answered phone. Decided to drive to c if they where open and they were. Service was slow but well worth it. Wish I had more crab meat. As I left I heard another customer as he walked in that he tried to call and got no answer. They need to answer phone when customer's call to avoid the long wait. Also suggestion, since little room to wait inside or outside and weather could be a factor they should take customer's cell phone # and call when food is ready. It's all about customer service dor return customers. Also put cornbread on your menu. I saw it in someone else's bag as they were walking out. Also put other location in menu Overall excellent food and I will be back.
