Maverick Chocolate Company

Amazing chocolate! Really unique place. I love taking out of town visitors here for a taste of Cincinnati. I really love the aviation theme and the 'remove before flight ' tag on the back of the chocolate. I highly recommend the seasonal orange chocolate and the Madagascar chocolate (tastes like strawberries). The chocolate bars make for really great gifts for chocolate lovers as well. In the summer time they have frozen hot chocolate. And in the winter time they have hot drinking chocolate (European style) which is a great hot drink to keep you warm as you walk around Findley Market. Very happy to have a place like this in town :)

It's a great little experience inside of Findlay Market. You can try a mini sample of any of the chocolates. It smells wonderful inside! The clerk was really nice and let us try several samples until we figured out what we want. Definitely a must-see if you go to Findlay Market! Parking available in lots a block or two away, or street parking. Located very near the Findlay Market stop of the streetcar.

We visit Maverick Chocolate at least once a week on our Riverside Food & Culture tour. Paul Picton and his family are so knowledgeable about chocolate. They created the business just a few years ago and have already won numerous prestigious food awards. All the chocolate is hand made from bean to bar inside their Findlay Market Store. Their homemade truffles are beautiful too! Plus you can sample the chocolate before you purchase. Just to walk in and smell the fragrance of chocolate is heavenly!
