We were in Lakewood to play at a private event and wanted breakfast. We asked a couple of ladies walking, where could we get a good home cooked breakfast and they recommend we try The Place To Be. We absolutely Loved everything about eating breakfast there. It was truly amazing, excellent service and very friendly.

Small hole in the wall restaurant, that was impressive. Had breakfast of a Florentino Omelette with turkey sausage and tomatoes and mushrooms with cheese. Very fast service. Food was 9/10, due to some potatoes overcooked. In general great meal. Coffee is weak, not the strongest. One seat could be reupholstered. Photos of Lakewood on the wall. This restaurant is Greek culture-owned. Stop in; you won't be disappointed. The waitress was friendly and the staff.

Great local diner in Lakewood, OH. This place has been here for years and they still smile and serve you more than enough coffee. Their food is delicious, and their prices feel like their from the 1990's. If you're looking for yummy affordable Americana style cuisine, you know "The Place To Be"!!!

We arrived about an hour before closing and it was pretty empty. We ordered a breakfast and a chicken sandwich. Both were great.
Service was extremely fast. We sat, ordered, ate and paid our bill in about 20 minutes tops.

The food was really tasty. It is decidedly not a greasy spoon which is good for arterial clarity. Not sure why the owner/manager was strutting around doing not much of anything while the staff are struggling to get people served. Another server cashed me out at the cashier station while he was ambling about. be sure to have your ATM or a stack of bills because they don’t take credit
Bonuses. Belgian waffle and really fresh veggies in all of the platters. And of course, bottomless coffee

I have been coming here for brunch since I was a child. So down to earth and delicious. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The portions are a good size too. It is cash only but they have an ATM. Some of the best gyros in the city and they eggs benedict is wonderful every time. Walk in only, so expect a wait during busy brunch times, but there is a little pocket park next door that is lovely to hang in until your table is ready. Worth the wait!

Classic diner in the heart of lovely Lakewood. The service is great from the ladies working there. The omelets were excellent and large and in-charge.

Food was pretty good but not a very big portion. The place was full so you felt really cramed in. Had to sit at a bar elbow to elbow with strangers which I didn't like too much
