Phenomenal skills displayed with the cakes, treats and confections.. a long winded review however if needing a special cake please take the time to read what I have to say as my opinion since this was my 4th cake shop in 2 years... I bought my two daughter's birthday cakes.. 13 and 18 years old which are special years and they both loved the combinations of cake that were created. I was able to walk-in and purchase 2 delicious small cakes, one for each of my girls. A chocolate raspberry with sweet cream frosting and a layered white & chocolate cake with chocolatey frosting. I also decided to get a few cake pops as a treat for myself and significant other. Which usually cske pops are too sweet for me at least when I get them from Starbuck's, however these were not overpowering in flavor or did they have a gooey texture. Which saved me from contracting sugar shock or the need to make a dentist appointment from being overpowering in sweetness. I am certain that for my next special cake need/event (graduation for my daughter) that I will be placing an order for a personally flavored/decorated cake although purchasing already made creations were absolutely delicious and barely any left over after the part. Unlike the previous three shops which one cake shop's leftover cake is still frozen in the deep freeze due to no one desiring such an expensive cake for desserts the days following. The reason I did that is because this is my 4th cake shop and I learned from placing orders that cakes are more expensive then buying items already made and since I have had cakes in the past not be delicious creating disappointment having leftovers which still haven't gotten eaten, I decided to purchase already created cakes saving the higher cake cost till I found our families future cake shoppe. This is the shop who will handle all my families future cake needs!!! That screams volumes of skills and service. Thank you Chef Sugar Cakes and Confections

Very clean, very cute, very polite! We came in 10 minutes before closing time and everyone was very patient and kind to us. We got the sugar cookies, macaroons, and a chai cupcake. The sugar cookies were good, the macaroons had a bit more filling in them but were still perfectly baked, and the Chai Cupcake was AMAZING. Overall very cute little shop with tasty treats. Would return for a special treat (not an everyday place in my opinion) but great for a special reward! Would recommend and will return.

I love this cake shop. They work with you on a budget and design. I have often taken my boys and niece in because you can get individual cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and mini cakes. I've never eaten anything that I would qualify as bad. They are a bit pricey in comparison to a cake from King soopers, but in my mind worth it!

This business is conveniently located next to King Soopers at Woodmen and Academy and offers a unique and delicious assortment of cakes and cupcakes. We purchased six different types of cupcakes to taste for our wedding cake and they were all uniquely scrumptious. The owner and Baker is truly an artist with the ability to make cakes look like pure art. It's worth going just to check out the photos of the award winning cakes she has created. Just to give you an idea of what is offered they have a champagne cake infused with pomegranate, topped with an amazing buttercream frosting. I'm told their citrus cakes are phenomenal as well. If you're looking for a great white cake the wedding vanilla was the best vanilla cake I've ever had. Saving the best for last, the carrot cake is unbelievable! With fresh carrot shavings and a frosting to die for we're choosing carrot as one one of the tiers on our wedding cake, it's that good!

I've loved this place since day 1. Yes, it's pricey and yes, they do request a lot of time in advance for their orders - but you pay what you get for. And the quality is unlike no other. So in the past the had a worker who had a RBF...and she wasn't pleasant to deal with and sometimes she came off as rude...But I will say the time I have been there there new front of the house staff was phenomenal!! They make their own Buttercream!! I've NEVER had an issue with their product (macarons, cakes, cupcakes both special order or cake from display, cookies and cake pops). Try them out - you won't regret it!!

I was so worried about these reviews, I placed an order before even reading them. I used the website to ask for a quote for my boyfriend’s birthday cake and got an immediate response. I dropped the ball on the ordering thing and didn’t order with a 7 day notice and she was sweet enough to waive the fee for me. I sent a photo for my cake and when I went to pick it up, I was SO happy. The cake was absolutely beautiful. I got two cupcakes as I left and those were amazing too. The woman behind the counter wished my boyfriend a happy birthday, thanked me for choosing their shop and thanked me for my business. I read so many terrible reviews and it really made me sad because this wasn’t my experience at all. I will definitely choose this shop for my future baking needs! Thank you ladies!

Heidi at Chef Sugar is a master baker and an absolute dream to work with. She has made cakes for my family for years, from my wedding cake to most recently, my son's birthday cake. Her cakes not only look beautiful, but taste delicious. Her buttercream frosting is divine. For my son's cake, I had drawn a rough sketch on printer paper of what I wanted and she made it come to life, way better than I could have ever expected. I do not have enough good things to say about Chef Sugar. They are the best in Colorado Springs or maybe even Colorado and you should hire them for all your baking needs!

I'm Celiac, so it's hard to find true gluten free bakeries. They definitely use care when making their gluten free goods. Macaroons were the best I've had! Light and airy on the cookie with delicious filling. They give you 4x more filling than normal which makes it SO much better! I ate the three I bought right in my car. I'll definitely be coming back!!

I happened to be shopping next door last Saturday and popped in to Chef Sugar's cute little bakery. They had a terrific display and it smelled so wonderful in there ! My husband and I had been invited to the neighbors for dinner that evening and I decided to bring some of these beautiful cupcakes they had to offer. I was delighted to find out they offer 10% discount for military ! They were very helpful and pleasant ! I will be back definitely. BTW the cupcakes tasted just as amazing as they looked.
