Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Let start by saying the food is great. Now that's out the way this is my 4th time coming here and somehow it's not open. I lights on see crew members walking in&out saying they not on the clock, they not on the schedule or they on they phones. I placed a order online 1x come to pick it up and they guy have to refund me cause they have to close at 430 cause of staff while I'm looking at 2 workers. They service use to be great IDK what's going on now with the staff, today was enough food to good to be this slack.

Approached store at 12:45pm, door was locked. Went in side door and was told door was locked because of short staff. Two other customers were there confused as well. Employee was on his phone talking to a friend about what he did the night before, was very into the call. When I asked if I could order, he said he had to wait on his manager that was sitting in their car to unlock the register. He went out to get them and they refused to come in so he came back in and said they were closed. I left and noticed the “manager” laid back in their car smoking a cigarette without a care in the world. PATHETIC!

So...I am New To the area. Wanted to try some good Ole SC BBQ. The nice Lady was working alone, cashier and kitchen. I ordered a plate with sliced Brisket, Ribs with Beans, Mac n cheese and a BBQ Pulled pork sandwich. I live 5 mins up the road. Got Home, everything was super cold. Like she placed it out of the Fridge unto the to-go container. Sides had No Flavor. Super disappointed...

Just accepted an Uber Eats delivery from here. Arrived and while the door was unlocked, all lights were off and I didn't smell any food cooking whatsoever. There was a questionable looking person (male/female?) passed out at a table, who either was asleep, fake sleeping, or maybe even dead. They wouldn't respond to my questions. Not sure if they were an employee, or what. I cancelled the order and left. Creepy and ghetto, stay away!

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. First we drive to the restaurant and was told they were closed which was confusing as there was clearly staff there with lights on, we thought no problem, it was beginning to storm. The next day we ordered on line, First a call they did not have the sides we ordered, after finally getting what's available we ordered the potato casserole, Mac n cheese and green beans. We get a call again, he said he just got to work the wings are frozen the ribs and brisket need to be smoked it would talk over an hour. He kept trying to get us to cancel. Time went on I get a test food is on the way, the it arrived and had been delivered. We did not get any food, I called the restaurant and the rude person said " well it ain't here" was no help in trying to locate the food which was not cheap by the way. After texting and trying to call the door dash person who texted me, she finally showed up 10 minutes after the delivery text. Now granted it was raining, the food bag was soaked, there was plastic wrap covering the cups instead of lids, juices spilled in the bag with the rain. We did not get the potatoes, the wings had vinegar spilled in the container from the green beans (vinegar on green beans?) which was terrible. The ribs were tough, the only thing edible was the brisket which was delicious even though no sauce. The Mac n cheese was old tasting and very salty. I don't generally write reviews especially this detailed and lengthy however I wish I would have canceled. The customer service is terrible with rude staff and @dooddash, Jathy is the worst, she did not handle our food correctly causing it to spill in the bag and should have covered it from the rain. I will never order from here again, I don't recommend this restaurant or DoorDash as a service.

DICKEYS BARBECUE PIT SHAME ON YOU! I’ve never eaten at the Columbia location only Brunswick. I have been to the GA location 10 times and it’s always been amazing! So when I saw my favorite GA bbq spot in my home town I was pumped and that’s where my excitement ended. What a total dump. No ac, no drinks no ice cream no hot food and no stealer service I can to except from DBP. The only thing that worked was my debit card to pay for the cold, old, and poor service I received.when I saw the date of my order I asked for a refund and the girl asked me why I wasted her time.. come on I expected much better

This was my first time trying this place. I arrived and the door was locked with a sign that said online orders only. Then I go to the car and place the order online and got a confirmation to pick-up at a certain time. Once I go to pickup my order, I find the door locked!!! And nobody seemed to be inside, and this was a couple of hours before closing. Then I call my bank to see if my card was charged and it was!! I should've followed my gut and avoided this place based on the terrible reviews. Donnell Robinson
