Katana Sushi Of Lakeside

FRIENDLY SERVER, AWESOME SUSHI, NOT IMPRESSIVE THAI! As soon as I saw this open, I had to try it because there is not a single good Thai in close by area. We walked in and got seated immediately and the the server was very warm and friendly. The menu was divided into 3 sections; Sushi, Japanese noodles n rice and Thai dishes. We decided to order something from each category: - Veggie sushi and spicy tuna sushi - Refreshing sushi. We loved it -Japanese Soba noodle - The noodles were okay. They lacked flavor but the veggies were fresh. -Japanese fried rice- This was the very good. -Thai red curry- This was in no way Thai curry. the curry was very think and flavors were no where near the Thai curry range. It was more like a Korean curry with soy sauce addition. We asked for extra spicy and the waitress forgot it but later realized and brought us spicy sauce for addition and also gave us free dessert to make up for it. I would definitely recommend this place for Sushi & Japanese grill dishes but i wouldn't suggest trying thai here.

We came and were in a rush, and the staff here was incredibly accommodating - the waitress brought our food quickly and offered to give us the checks right away to speed it up a little, the manager brought us boxes so we could head out quickly, and they were all very friendly and professional while doing so! Food was great, a little pricey but the quality was good!

Not bad at all. The sushi was pretty good. Although we didn't try any of the more exotic rolls, and that's probably why I'm not giving it a super excellent rating. Not their fault, but mine for not trying something more special. They had pretty good Thai food also. So it's not just a sushi place, but a place where you can get a lot of different Asian food. This place seemed pretty expensive to me, but of course I'm a cheapskate. But they gave us their lunch specials on Sunday. Even though their menu said it was only Monday to Saturday. So two thumbs up for that.

Love this place. Katana is my #1 place to get sushi. The fish is always fresh, and the prices are great around lunch time. It's rare for there to be a long wait for a seat and for the food to come out, and the quiet atmosphere makes good for chatting with friends or family. Really, I just can get enough of this place.

I come here usually once a week. The food is really tasty, and you get a generous portion. The sushi is good and there is a large variety of rolls. I especially like their bento boxes. The service is very friendly and there is never a crowd when I go. It's always a good dining experience and I highly recommend.

I had heard good word of mouth about this place and finally went for lunch. I picked up a chicken Bento box and my associate picked the three roll lunch special. The sushi rice was sparse and not really sticky on any of the rolls. The ingredients in the rolls did not taste fresh. The tempura and chicken was good. Staff seemed to be unorganized.

Tonight is my fourth time here and the sushi is amazing. The freshness of the food is fantastic and the plating is tastefully done. With such a great atmosphere inside from the staff greeting you as you come in to the modern decor, it is a place where you feel comfortable while dining. I will definitely be coming back here many times to come.

Not a fan. Maybe if sticking to sushi this would be different but my visit left a lot to be desired. Kani salad was dry and had no taste. Our waiter agreed it was dry, took it away and said nothing about it. (No offer of sauce, remove from tab... nothing) Chicken Katsu was okay. Definitely not the best and the Chicken pad thai was better on the second day.
