The restaurant (opens for dinner only) was pretty packed when we visited. Looked like a family-friendly place because we saw a small waiting area designed just for kids. But the adult waiting area was narrow and uncomfortable.
The food was average. They served some Japanese dishes, and some Korean dishes. The rolls looked smaller than advertised (less pieces). Presentation not that great. However, the fish tasted fresh.
We had mixed feelings about the service. Our waitress was friendly. During our meal, we needed service and we asked a waitress passing by. She was very rude--just pointed to our waitress who was all the way at the other end of the restaurant, then walked on without asking how she could have helped.
For the price we paid, we could have had a better dining experience elsewhere. Not sure if we would return, since they don't even serve authentic Japanese food.

I WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL
PEOPLE TOLD ME ITS A GOOD PLACE TO EAT SUSHI BUT I THINK THEY ARE WRONG
HONESTLY IT WAS NOT GOOD
THE SUSHI DID NOT TASTE FRESH AND THE REST OF THE FOOD DID NOT HAVE FLAVOR
TO MAKE IT WORSE THE WAITER WAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL AND I THINK WE WAITED LONGER FOR THE DRINKS THAT THE WAITER BRINGING THE CHECK
VERY RUDE OF THEM BRINGING THE CHECK SO QUICKLY LIKE THEY DID NOT WANT US THERE

My wife and I ordered several sushi rolls, and we are big sushi fans. The rolls came out very nice, looking great. But the taste was not there. For one, the rolls were all cut really thin, making it very difficult to pick up. Then our warm rolls were warm throughout, there was no refreshing cold in there, like the rolls sat for awhile and warmed up the other ingredients.
The service was horrible, the waitress visited us only to take order, deliver food, and we had to catch her to get the check. Never refilled our waters / drinks, never asked if it was good. The place was about 40% filled, so it wasn't slammed.
Maybe my review was a fluke, but typically I try any place 2 times before writing a review. Between the lack of service and the odd tasting rolls, I won't be trying this place again. Ordering several items and none of it was something I would come back for.

It is my first time trying this place out. I ordered a Dynamite Roll for pick-up on my lunch break. The waitress said it would be ready in 15min. It was. The roll is delicious, and the sauce they put over it is good as well. They would have gotten 5 starts except for the fact that one sushi roll cost $15.99 not sure what the going rate for a sushi roll is, but it just seems a little over priced for what I ordered.

Price does not reflect the quality or portions. Service was mediocre at best. Spider roll was a joke, came out already falling apart.

Foods good, but the service is terrible. Food came out of order, had to get up and ask 3 different servers for wasabi (didn't come with any of our rolls).
Then waiting around 20 minutes just to pay. You would think they would make an effort to drop your bill off when they see a table is done so they can seat their next guests. Nope not here, they just ignore you for 20/30 minutes at a time.

Not only was this place super rude to me, the sushi literally fell apart as I was eating it. The rice was not packed very well and the salmon was just not cut well either (49er roll).
There were two huge pieces and thin pieces and pieces that were even thinner because they were cut incorrectly.
Bad service and Mediocre food at Best.

I highly recommend the caterpillar roll, the 49ers roll, the miso soup, the entire menu really. The service is excellent with even more amazing food with flavor coming from every bite. If you’re looking to go somewhere with excellent sushi, excellent service, and where you know you’re going to come back to, then Happy Roll is the happy choice.
