K&w Cafeterias

I have always loved K&W Cafeterias and have been going since I was a child. I actually drove 20 mins out of my way while I was back in NC for an appointment, because it's one of the things I miss. Chocolate pie and yeast rolls are the best. 💜 The waitresses and staff were very kind with me getting there late and didn't rush me to eat despite my best efforts to finish up and go. 😅 Unfortunately didn't realize I couldn't leave tip on the card and didn't have cash on me, so if the owner has a way I can do that, I'd appreciate it.

We both had country style steak with rice, broccoli salad and corn with a roll and ice tea to drink.. It was served cafeteria style and just a few minutes for service.. Then we paid and were quickly seated at a table.. We heard one of the servers sing happy birthday to a small child and we were very impressed at the cheerful sound of her singing voice.. we still left a small tip because of the birthday song.. I gave the server a complement because her voice was so sweet and cheerful.. She said if I came back for my birthday she would sing for me.. We loved the food and the sevice.. Thank you so much for the K&W cafeteria..

My chicken was good my pork roast was a little overcooked and dry the pictures below are the macaroni and cheese and coconut cake as you see the macaroni and cheese has way too much egg in it it's disgusting and that cake is old and it's extremely dry and crumbly it's definitely worth a try but the mac and cheese and cake I pass on it's like eating scrambled eggs with mushy noodles yeah not a good selection at all that mac and cheese

We've ate here for years, today Sunday 6/12/22 at 1pm after standing in line for 40 minutes, most of the main entree dishes were empty, with a waiting time till they would be ready. Was told the chicken livers would be a 5 minute wait. Our server was very nice but after a 25 minute wait the order still wasn't ready. My family had already finished their meal and was waiting on me. Was given a refund on the livers and a sorry from the manager and he just walked away. Stopped by a drive through on the way home to get something to eat.Very poor management, he needs to be demoted to dishwasher and get someone in there that knows how to manage his staff better and keep the food line running smoothly. Don't have any plans on coming back anytime soon.

Was so excited to eat here as I live in Maryland and we of course don’t have a K&W. I’ve eaten it growing up as my dad is from sc and that’s where we spent our summers and it was always delicious. Anyway visited concord location over Memorial Day weekend and food was pure trash! I was so disappointed. Baked spaghetti tasted sweet, country steak was dry and Mac and cheese seemed watery. Even my 7 year old said it was disgusting. Yuck!
