Selfish

LONG time locals from Kirra, have been buying fish, chips & extras from Kennedy Drive for 40 years. Border restrictions made me buy from Kirra last week, won't go back. Today bought lunch from SEE FOOD, Coolangatta, grilled snapper, crumbed cod, prawn cutlets, potato scallops and chips. I also saw their calamari, it looked fantastic, will buy that as well next time. The flavour of their crumbing was beautiful. It was all as good or probably BETTER than anywhere on my Southern Gold Coast and reasonably priced. I may not even go back to Tweed when the borders open FULLY 👍🤙🙋‍♂️. I have no links with the shop or the people, but I give praise when it is warranted.

This has to be one of my favourite fish and chips restaurants I’ve been to so far! I came here with my family and we all loved our meals (dory and chips, prawn burger, calamari and chips)! The portions are generous, the prices are decent and the quality was high. We will definitely come back! The only bad thing was that they ran out of Coronas!

Husband ordered meal and due to his severe allergy with prawns he requested that the prawns be replaced with additional calamari in the pack he ordered. The hostess wrote down his request. Once we began eating he realised that there was prawns in his pack. He was not able to eat the majority of food as it had been contaminated by the prawns and he would react. We have three children so by time they finished their food and played we walked back to the shop to advise and request a refund for a portion of the pack ($30 was the price he paid for the pack). The hostess admitted to remembering my husband, showed him the docket that she wrote down the change in but refused to give any refund as it’s their policy to offer no refunds. Even if the mistake was made by selfish. Even though my husband laid $30 for a pack that he couldn’t eat more than half of (we returned with the uneaten food). We find this service disgusting and extremely poor customer service. Very disappointing.
