Point Break Fish & Chips

Always meant to try this place out, visited on a lazy Tuesday afternoon. Served by a rude woman who despite having no other customers was abrupt with me. Was charged almost $20 for a piece of grilled barra and their 'salad and chips' option which ended up being a tiny serving (see photo). The WORST thing was whilst eating it at home I found a GIANT fishbone an inch long (see photo). I am so thankful I didn't accidentally swallow it. OVERPRICED. RUDE STAFF. AVOID.

Food was nice, girl at the counter was nice, but the middle aged man in the back ruins the business. He is so rude, and was so rude to us twice, once when I asked if it was possible to pay extra to change the fish on the fisherman's basket, and then he told us off for using the vinegar in a very rude way (it was on a table inside, no reason why I could think I couldn't use it) and he didn't put extra salt on like I asked. He was just awful and we won't go back there

We've eaten here with the old owners and now with the new - and it's much better now. Flathead is always fresh, the batter is very very light and crispy and unlike Tobie Wallace I love the scallops - 10 out of 10 - thin slices of real potato in a thin batter - perfect! And the same with the chips - rough cut and crispy. There may be a better fish and chip shop on the coast but I haven't found it. Highly recommended.

Felt like throwing our food back at his face. He had attitude from the get go. He wasn't happy that I didn't have the correct change. My 4yr old (in a pram and clearly disabled) accidentally knocked his salt and pepper cracker off the table whilst waiting for our food. I offered to clean it up and pay for it, however this wasn't good enough for him. He gave us our food and told us to get off the premises. Wouldn't even sell us tomato sauce for the kids. I tried to explain the situation but he clearly has issues. Not sure why or how the shop is still open. Wish we had read the reviews prior to going there. Doesn't even deserve the one star. Food ok... Service was by far the wost I've ever seen. Definitely put a dampner of the day. Just read your reply... Yes it was an accident, and "property damage"... It was a plastic pepper cracker from the supermarket... and like I said I tried to explain the situation and correct the accident. Maybe you should rethink the location of your shop. Across the road from a childrens park may not be the best place for such an unfriendly child hating grumpy old man. Every one has bad days but judging by your reviews it's a constant problem for you. Even rethinking the event you can't seems to see or realise your mistakes.

Closed at 6pm on new year's eve. Wish is fine if that's how you want to operate your business. But no need to rudely tell us to get out of your shop when you hadn't locked it up. People were still in there waiting for orders and the closed shop sign was in the far left corner of the shop not on the front door.
