Harry's Cowbridge

Visited Harry's last night. There weren't many options for eating on a Tuesday evening in Cowbridge but we are so glad we ended up in Harry's. We both ate vegetarian meals from their Autumn menu and they were delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was conducive for a pleasant evening. We would definitely visit again. Well done to the chef for the vegetarian options, it is nice to be presented with tasty alternatives to meat.

Stopped here recently whilst attending the Saturday Farmers Market. Staff were extremely pleasant (new member of staff) and we were taken to a table. Harry's was not that busy for early morning. Ordered a breakfast and some Eggs Benedict. I personally felt £14 is on the high side for a breakfast but my partner was stunned at the quality and amount of food. I have to give 5 stars for this experience.

A very nice place, but it needs a little improvement to be great. The food is excellent. The service could be better. Understanding the drinks orders would help. There were four of us, but the waitress got confused. The noise levels could also be dialled down a little. We were sat right underneath a speaker and the background music was too loud. At one point during the evening some live music was performed, which was great, but the background music wasn’t switched off, so we had the live music competing with the background music. Add to that the odd sort of fanfare that plays whenever food is ready to be picked up from the kitchen, and it can get a little noisy. Really nice food though. I would recommend the belly pork to start. Delicious.

Service was a little slower than expected due to how busy it was but the staff couldn't apologise enough and kept us up to date on the progress of our food and gave us olives whilst we waited. The food was well worth the wait. Everything was delicious. I had crab ravioli followed by a perfectly cooked steak. The night was rounded off listening to a very talented singer. Great atmosphere and well worth the visit. Special thanks to the lovely Stuart for looking after us so well.

Upon moving to cowbridge we stumbled upon Harry’s and absolutely love it. The ambience, food and hospitality is 5 star. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a few drinks or coffee (the wine options are great and the best cocktails around!) The staff are super friendly and always very welcoming and accommodating, and the fantastic chef regularly changes the menu with options from all over the world! Absolute gem of a place and can’t recommend it enough. Ps super dog friendly. They even have a puppy menu!

Six of us went for lunch today, excellent service, food and ambiance. The waitresses who served us had an amazing sense of humor and kept us entertained. Betti our 1year old Cockapoo definitely recommends the doggy burger. Keep up the good work guys, will definitely be recommending and coming again 👏🏼👏🏼

Come down for a week on holiday with my partner. Because of reviews online we wanted to try Harry's and by god we weren't disappointed. The food WOW out of this world.....cooked perfectly and god dam beautiful, now my parent is addicted to mint/mayo thanks to Harry's. But the staff and the atmosphere is brilliant highly and it's a beautiful old building, I would highly recommend a visit to Harry's .

A lovely restaurant, very friendly and welcoming. Very dog friendly, offering dog biscuits and drinking water, they even had dog cupcakes and ice-cream to purchase. Our dog loved it there. There is plenty of seating indoors and also a lovely little seating area out the back. The coffees were very good and so was the carrot cake and raspberry brownie. Will definitely be going back.

Went as a group of three for dinner March 2023. Had a blast. Very extensive menu which is unusual for a smaller place. Plus specials were available also. Good and varied wine list with everything available by the glass, also unusual. We started with cocktails which unexpectedly were 2 for 1. Starters included a special Welsh soup (it being St David’s day) which was lamb and vegetable in a broth. Delicious. For main course 2 of us had fish, one Hake and one the special sea bass, very tasty and served hot which we appreciated. Our third member had the gnocchi. We washed it down with Chablis and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Service was friendly and attentive so we were never abandoned as can happen in some places. Would definitely repeat. My only suggestion is to add more vegetarian options for main courses, there are 2 the gnocchi and a veggie burger. There are so many great ingredients already present in the other dishes it wouldn’t be hard to assemble additional options. Don’t let this stop you! We had a great evening.
