Headquarters Bbq

Ordered the Family pack, which has a selection of 3 BBQed meats with a whole chicken (Brisket, Burnt Ends, Texas Sausage, Chicken), 4 sides (Mac & Cheese, Bacon-wrapped Brussel Sprouts, Cole Slaw, and Mashed Potatoes), a drink of either lemonade or iced tea, a sizeable load of cornbread buns and individually packaged BBQ sauce. I thought I would like this more but I can't pinpoint what was wrong with the food I had. Did they use liquid smoke and forget the mustard in their rub? Was it just plain salt? Not sure. It was a rainy day so maybe the smoky flavor didn't infuse well enough with the meat. The brisket at first glance surprisingly looked dry but was tender. The chicken seemed the most tender of the bunch this time, and the texan sausage had a great bite but somehow had nothing to write home about. I'm wondering now if it was the sauce. It was pretty sweet and had a decent amount of acidic twang, but it was the only thing I had as an aftertaste. At least the burnt ends came out pretty well!

Great food and excellent help ordering from Jose. For a party of 30, we ordered six pounds of smoked salmon and 6 pounds of brisket. Just the right amount of food. The salmon came with a simple and delicious cold dill sauce that paired perfectly. The brisket was so delicious it didn’t even need bbq sauce. The sides were all tasty - especially liked the grilled veggies! Thank you Real Urban - looking forward to our next catering event

The food is good, and some of the guys who serve the meat, are super nice, first time there I asked about the best meat and they give me few little tries before I made my order and that was super nice. The guys in the register, they don’t care if they offer a good service or not, that is an area that can improve In overall is ok, is not super good and not super bad… just ok

Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and overpriced. Service was short and rather unfriendly. (I might dismiss some of the service as big city culture) Pulled pork tasted old. It seemed to get bitter smoked before being wrapped in plastic wrap. The burnt ends were not caramelized. The mashed potatoes were instant and the baked beans had a very weird spiced flavor. It cost us more for 2 small lunches that weren't good, than it did for 2 high-quality dinners, including bison burgers and large sides, at a steakhouse up the road that evening.
