Coconut's Fish Cafe

The food here tastes very fresh and flavorful. The ambience and the food makes you feel like you’re in a beach side shack and not off a main road in Cupertino! The coconut shrimp is a must try and I loved the chicken tacos. I don’t really fish but my family enjoyed it. They also had $2 mimosas was a awesome. Totally recommend this place!

I like fish tacos, so this place sounded attractive. The restaurant has a Hawaii styled decor, bright, single story building by itself, though with limited parking. We ordered their famous fish taco and two different style grilled ono. The two fish tacos came in individual plate with 7 layers, fish, cabbage salad, diced tomatoes, diced mango.... The flavor was refreshing, however, it was messy to eat with the large chunks of cabbage. The grilled fish both were very dry and tough and lacked in flavors. Personally, I didn't like the cabbage size, really prefer shredded. I know ono is a firm fish, but both the lemon and Cajun style were over grilled.

This place is known for its fish tacos which are really good. Just about everything else if pretty good as well (seared ahi, chicken tacos, salads, and the calamari is cut thick with a good home-style cocktail sauce). There are a lot of relatively healthy options on the menu. The staff are friendly & helpful. The food is usually served pretty quickly as well. The ambiance is very casual with cheesy Hawaiian themed decorations and TVs showing surfing videos on loop. The portions are a little small for the price but not too bad. I like to go here to get a fast, healthy, good-tasting meal when I don't feel like cooking at home.

It's a nice place - Clean, fast, friendly. I have the salad with grilled mahi mahi and shrimp with lemon butter option, which is quite delicious! My husband has the Ono brown rice plate. He really likes the rice, but he likes mahi mahi more. The Ono is a bit drier and harder than Ono. We will definitely go back and try other dishes.
