Rubio's Coastal Grill

This by far the worst employed Rubio's I have been in. Let me explain why, the four men in the photo need to be fired. Why does there need to be four cooks who only finish orders in within 30min for a three menu item when your the first customer. Also these guys are never wearing any gloves. The guy wearing a tan hat looks high AF. It's obvious because of how he looks, talks and moves. Plus he went to the bathroom and came out and it straight smelled like wax in there. Trust me I know. They made a mistake on order when we switch to take it to go. This because the guy with the white shirt we told went to the back to use his cellphone without telling his employees. Two of the men didn't even have name tags. I hope the manager sees this. Never coming back here again bad service, long wait, now my sister is even questioning if we should eat the food considering how it's been touched by hand. These guys should get fired asap.

We love Rubios but this location has very slow service and they tend to try and close up way before the normal closing time. We came in at 8 and they acted like it was a major inconvenience to get the grills going and get some of the salsa back out to the bar when they close at 9. Edit: they still have a terrible habit of closing doors early. Another edit: we finally found the store open. They didn't even have time to cut the limes or lemons at the salsa bar.

I've been to this location many times and it keeps getting worse and worse. I came for lunch a few months ago and they were closing when I walked in at 1pm because they didn't have enough workers. This past weekend I went and I was told I had to wait 15-20 minutes for my food. Why? Because they only had one cook. Not good for a fast casual place. This place clearly needs to hire more people. The food is as you would expect at a Rubio's. I like their fish tacos and that's the only reason why I didn't give 1 star.

Yesterday evening, my friend and I when to the shop around 4 pm. The store was not busy that other than us, there were only one another person waiting for a pickup. I ordered a chicken burrito but in the burrito I got was without chicken. I confronted them about it and a guy looked at me like I was crazy. After showing them the half eaten food of mine they finally decide to make make what I had ordered. Without a word, the same person put the plate on the table and left. The food as well as the service was unprofessional.

I love the food Rubio's makes but this is probably the worst one on cleanliness and staff attention alone. The straws and lids were both almost completely empty, and some of the salsas were so low you couldn't scoop any out. My wife and I tried sitting at two different tables and they were both terribly sticky. I asked one of the staff to please clean the table we were sitting out and she did, but it was a half-hearted quick wipe that got maybe 60% of the table and still didn't clean it properly. The drain under the soda fountain is black and crusty with grime. Drains like these need to be cleaned regularly and it's clear this one has not been in a long, long time. If that's how they clean, no wonder all the tables are so sticky you can't even move a napkin across it. I'd hate to see what their back of house looks like.

Waited 20 minutes in line, 3 people away from the register, and no one was taking orders. No information was offered until i told someone to figure out whats who needs to start taking orders. Their fryers broken? Okay. Tell us. Give us the option of whether or not we wait an extra 45 mins for dinner. Manager refused to acknowledge us....
