Chef Yang's Bbq

Food was amazing. It hit the spot. I thought the corn Was way over cooked I didn’t really eat it. Food was a little expensive. It’s like 2.99 for 1 meat skewer. I thought maybe you at least get 2. It cost me $15 for all you see in the photo and I’m still hungry.I also didn’t like they didn’t take credit cards. It’s only cash or Venmo. So watch out if you don’t have either.

Phenomenal lamb skewers... The owners are so legit to a degree where you just know they are preparing the food with heart. It looks like a family-run business but everyone is absolutely focused on delivering the best lamb and other skewers with pride. The food is phenomenal and the price is completely reasonable. A glass of beer, 3~4 skewers, and some buns... this is the definition of a heavenly weekend. The only issue is the long endless waiting. We avoided this by going near the closing time. But this place is absolutely the best in what they do.

Great place if you’re vegetarian, they have plenty of options for you! There was a small wait in the afternoon, but the service is speedy. You order from your phone and they bring out the dishes periodically as they get prepared, so you can keep ordering as you’re being served. The buns are very tasty and sweet. Also this is one of the only bbq places where I’ve gotten to try chives.

Love the skewers here (lamb, beef and eggplant are some of our favorites) and come pretty often (almost once a week). The food is really good, the restaurant is laid back and casual, and the value is good (def one of the cheaper eats in the area). I’m surprised by some of the other reviews, we come so often and that’s not been my experience- def recommend trying if you haven’t.

It was insanely SLOW!! We have placed an online order and received a call that it was going to take about 1 hour to be ready which was ok because we had errands to do. Then when we get to the place, we waited another 30 minutes! OMG! The food was just average level and I think this place is popular because it was the only bbq place around the corner? But will definitely not come again given the portion of food, the taste and the waiting time.

Asian style skewers that were super delicious. There were also side dishes you can order. The lamb skewer is a must as well as the enoki bacon. Corn was a bit dry. Service was good. They took our order while we waited outside and it wasn't a long wait after we were sat. Be prepared to wait a bit as this place seems super popular.

Forgot to publish this review back in 2013 :) skewers are now around $2.99 ====================== Great price! Average skewer is $1.25. I prefer the beef skewer over chicken flavor wise but chicken is more tender. $1.25/skewer for beef or chicken. Also bbq steamed bun skewer for $1 is much better fresh than togo. Togo it gets a little soggy and becomes not as crispy.
