Fiddlers Green

Came in for the Sunday roast - it's on special on Sundays but available other days if you're in the mood. It was good, not great. The Yorkshire pudding were quite chewy, but the portion was good and price was fair at $20 ($24 if not Sunday). The vegetarian curry was tasteless, not bad but you'd expect more for $24. They were clearly understaffed and doing the best they could so I won't fault anyone there. Lots of seating inside and out. Altogether, not a bad place to eat but underwhelming given the better nearby options.

April 21st we attended the Fiddlers Green for dinner. 16 of us flew to Darwin to surprise my granddaughter who is in the ADF. The staff were fantastic and helped us stage the "surprise". Overall there were 20 if us for dinner, the food was excellent servings were plentiful, and the delicious cocktails were a big hit. If you are heading to Darwin be sure to make your way down to the Fiddlers Green so enjoy the fabulous hospitality offered.

If you are visiting Darwin Waterfront a great place for a cold drink or meal is the Fiddlers Green Irish style pub. A large venue with outdoor undercover dining or inside restaurant area. Large well stocked bar nice cold beers. Order at counter food and drink get table number and meals are brought to your table. All sorts of seating options from booths to cafe and bar seating. The menu was varied with a mixed of traditional pub meals and more modern choices with daily specials. John had the special rump steak topped with half a crayfish chips and salad. I had chilli mussels both meals were well presented and very tasty. I love chilli mussels I order them a lot and these were the best I have had. The sauce was less soupy with a great amount of spice for me. The bowl was huge with more than enough Turkish bread to soak up that terrific sauce. great value the service was super friendly and attentive. A great atmosphere with fabulous music over sound system. Will return

Ordered 0.5kg wings and chips. All I got was 5 wings with terrible buffalo sauce and handful of chips. The wings were cold and dry with barely any meat in it. It didn’t seem freshly prepared. Salad didn’t seem fresh either. The hot sauce was soooo vinegary I couldn’t eat it without twitching my eyes and it wasn’t hot at all. I ate three wings and couldn’t finish the rest even though I was really hungry. The lady waitress was a bit bland when asked if there is any sauce she could put with the buffalo wings like aioli or blue cheese dressing. Answer was plain “NO”. Other waiters seemed nice and the gentleman that gave us the menu seemed nice too. The lunch special prices were good. My partner said his meal was nice, he had Schnitty burger. The place did seem packed so it must be nice and I just would’ve happened to be unlucky that day unfortunately.

Went for lunch. Our meals took forever to come out, people who ordered after us got meals first. We ordered 3 burgers, a steak and chicken strips. Both beef and bacon burgers came out without bacon, had to ask for some. All burgers were dry together with the chicken strips, however steak was not too bad. Here on holidays, wouldn’t go there again.
