Gutbusters Breakfast

Food is generally done quickly and my order is normally right (a big change from other places) staff is friendly, but not too much so that it slows down orders. I call in and my food is ready when I get there. 5-10 minutes tops. The food is good and you get a ton of it for the price. So if you like buttery pan cakes and loads of bacon this is the right place.

My first visit was pleasant but not pleasing. The restaurant sits in the Kroger shopping plaza off Flat Shoals. It is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and upbeat especially for six a.m.i The owners are Asian and staff the kitchen. The cashier and finisher areAfrican-American and are the public face of the restaurant. I was happy to see that the surrounding community was represented. They serve as southern breakfast including grits,fried potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, fish, salmon croquettes, etc. The food was hot and looked great; however, I was disappointed with the taste I had the Salmon croquette platter, which included scrambled eggs grits toast The two salmon croquettes were small, contained a lot of filler, and seasoned to heavily with garlic for my liking. If you want a better tasting salmon croquette breakfast go to King's Southern restaurant off Redan Road in Stone Mountain. I will give Gutbusters another try but I will have another selection other than salmon

Finally have the chance to give a good review for this place. Simply put, their amazing!! Food is plentiful, price is super low and the service is personable. I come to this location strictly for breakfast and if I’m not mistaken, that’s all they serve. It’s soooooo many options to choose from and something for everybody. It tastes just like your Grandmas southern breakfast. They are very heavy handed with portions which I don’t mind at all. I would recommend calling in your order just to cut out on some of the wait time. However, if you do walk in, no worries because they get you in and out pretty quickly. They have a few tables and chairs in the inside but this is mainly a grab and go spot. They have a regular customer in me!

I will start by saying the staff is always nice and polite. I had an order of French toast with crispy bacon and my husband had pancakes with beef sausage, grits and eggs. French toast was ok. However, my bacon was so hard, I had to give up chewing it. My husband's pancakes were horrible. He said the grits eggs and sausage were ok. We eat out for breakfast every weekend and this was at the bottom of the list for enjoyable. The only resolution they could offer was to come back today. That is just too much of a waste of time. The person said they couldn't let me come another day during the week. I don't live close by and was not willing to waste more time going back on the same day. Once I spend all of that time, I could have prepared breakfast myself. So my resolution is just not to patronize this location again bc it's not the first time I was left not satisfied with my breakfast. This is about the fifth time. It was just so bad this time, I had to comment.
