Steak-out Decatur, Al

Two weeks in a row, we've gotten raw steak and rotten potatoes. We stopped even trying to order burgers, because they always had a pink center. We ask for "Very Well Done" for my wife, and this is the result. I'd like to be able to order something that isn't pizza when I can't get out, but the service here has gotten surprisingly bad. When I asked for a refund for this raw meat, I was refused by management.

Today I thought, I'd really like a Burger. I called steakout, waited on hold for 30 minutes, order taker cane to the line, was extremely rude, the put me on hold for 10 more minutes. I literally got in my car and drove to steakout, walked in the door, still on hold. The order taker was not taking any orders, there was no phones ringing, nothing cooking... So I got righteously angry, that they were just ignoring me. I demanded to speak to the manager, asking why they had ignored me. She said because they were under staffed and busy.... they didn't look busy... The. The manager got smart with me, so I left... I just gave up and went to McDonalds.. Sad you can't even order 1 single burger... very sad.

I was hesitant to try this steak out after becoming accustomed to the Huntsville Steak Out which is independently operated and was always the best food. I have ordered from this Decatur location 3 times over the last 4 months and I have been pleased with the food and delivery each time. I always get the grilled chicken sandwich with onion pack. The chicken has been tender and delish each time. One time they gave me a sorry excuse of a tomato slice but chicken trumps tomato for sure! And 2/3 times for good veggies is acceptable in my book. Glad I finally gave them a chance. Whenever I can't leave the office, I will order from here.

Wow!! A blast from the past!! We haven't had Steak Out in YEARS! It was really good. The cheeseburger was soft and flavorful. That same old signature flavor of SO! The loaded potato was also the bomb! I gave it 4 stars only because....the Cobb Salad seemed a little bit wilted, and the ham wasn't grilled. But....it was still good! And....the driver was cool, too!
