Paisano's Pizzeria

I don't know why half the people in Derry say this is the best pizza place. I tried it once and the bottom of the pizza was covered in burnt pizza bits, then for the heck of it because mistakes happen and we really loved the poutine, we tried again and yet again the whole bottom of the pizza has burnt bits stuck to the bottom. Clean your pizza trays and try again, it's so gross. Yes they can be wiped off, but I shouldn't have to, and the lingering burnt flavor stays around. Never getting a pizza again just sticking to the poutine.

I was originally going to give them 4 stars but after my order two days ago it’s back down to 3. Let me start off by saying that the pizza has much improved, I would give that a solid 4 stars easily. We got a large pie with extra cheese and roni and it was cooked perfectly and had ample amounts of roni. My salad on the other hand left much to be desired, it was pretty bad. I opted for the chicken tender salad, the tenders were cut up into bit sized pieces which I thought odd, maybe to try and mask the fact that they are frozen. I also barely got any chicken, not that it mattered since it was AWFUL. The chicken on a scale of 1-5 would be a solid 1. It’s so strange because just a week before I got the grilled chicken salad and it was great! Plenty of chicken and everything seemed fresh. The side order of fries were borderline over cooked. Like super dark in on the ends, but not terrible. I would NEVER EVER get chicken tenders from there again.

I recently tried Paisano's for the first time and it was really good. I ordered a large cheese and an order of garlic knots. The pizza was good, the sauce is flavorful and the cheese was melted but not burnt and not dry when I got it. As for the garlic knots they are great. The oil and spice they are glazed with is certainly addicting. I gave it 4 stars because you pretty much can't get extra of anything (ie. parmesan cheese) without paying for it. When two items come out to $20+ dollars you know the mark up is high enough they could get rid of the nickel and dime approach. It only opens at 4 PM which makes this placed a miss for lunch.
