Chef Rick

I was told about amazing chicken wings! Well the story is true!!!! I’ve never ever had a chicken wing to compare. Since I was there I went ahead and got ribs Mac n cheese and collard greens too. Oh my oh my oh my. I have just found a slice of heaven! I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I give this place 5 stars all the way. Only down side for chef Ricks is if you aren’t looking for him, you might jus pass it by and never even know.

The best BBQ sandwich I've ever eaten. I've ordered the ribs, the fish, the wings, and the shrimp(oh man the shrimp), and I'm sure beyond a shadow of a doubt, any southern/soul food aficionado would be more than pleased with anything on this man's menu. I'll put it to you this way: When I lived a mile down the road from Chef Rick's, I ate there at least once every week. When I moved 300 miles away, I convinced my wife that we should take a family trip to visit her mother(yes, the dreaded mother-in-law) just so I could drive an extra 50 miles out the way to get some Chef Rick's.

My family and I have been eating from here for years. For me, the most important thing is consistency. Over the years, the quality and portion size of his food have remained consistent. The fact that this is a black owned business makes patronizing this establishment that much more rewarding! #highlyrecommended #theribsaresogood

First and last time here today. If I could leave a review with no stars, I would. This is your typical hole-in-the-wall spot. Walked in, definitely was not impressed with the cleanliness of the place, but the food smelled good enough. Took a while for someone to come out and take my order. He finally came out to take my order. I guess he was Rick because he was very dirty and extremely RUDE!!!!!! He came out and attended to other customers who were waiting on their to-go without acknowledging me or looking my way. Fine, it didn’t really bother me. It’s a hole-in-the-wall. I understand that theyre not going to have the best service. He collected the customers money and walked over to the register where I was standing. I had been on the phone getting my order together with my friend. I asked him if he was ready to take my order and he replied “I’m not taking your order until you hang up the phone.” EXCUSE ME? I had already put my friend on hold so I could place the order!! I then politely inquired about an item on the menu and he just had a nasty, nasty, NASTY attitude!!! With his old, dirty self!! Worst experience I’ve ever had. I recently started working in Douglasville and I thought I’d found a tight spot for lunch or even dinners to go. I’m never going there again!! Not worth the stress.
