The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - West Edmonton

Had the worst experience ever had at a restaurant.. would give -100 if possible 😡😡. First thing first , the service is very slow.. we waited for more than 1/2 hr for our appetisers to arrive… then the food was below average for way high prices.. we ordered 50th anniversary special menu item, roasted goat cheese along with cheese garlic toast which was too salty. The creme brûlée was decent. This is not the first time we have visited keg but it was our first time visiting this location. The usually serve complimentary bread to all tables but our server didn’t serve it to us. So while we finished our first course And when we asked her for it , she said she only serve it to tables that order main course. Which has never happened at other keg locations. And then after waiting for so long got the bread but by then we lost interest in spending more time in the restaurant and waiting for 1/2 hr more the main course. So we ordered dessert instead which came in 10-15 mins. Now coming to the biggest problem, lady serving us was pretentious… and very busy ( way more busy then any other server in the restaurant as she was the only one not coming to ask or serve us, while all the other tables got served n were being well taken care of. )… it felt like the staff was treating was differently from other customers… for reasons best known to them. She then came with the bill, and irritated with the service, food, her negligence we decided to give 10% tip and then she started announcing and saying out load the tip amount to let other people know that we were tipping her less… for her excellent service …. I usually don’t give not names but this one deserves to be named… so yes if you are going there and your server’s name is Jasmine T, i would suggest just run away. We are never going there ever again…

We came here for supper. My boyfriend had the teriyaki steak with a twice baked potato & I had the pistachio crusted salmon with mashed potatoes. The food was excellent but the servers were kind of judgmental. We weren’t in tattered clothing but we mind as well have been according to some of the servers judging looks. Not dressing up for the Keg. Sorry- not sorry. You are in the service industry- please remind your “servers” of this detail.

We had a fantastic experience tonight here, and our waitress Holly was wonderful! It is my birthday today, so we decided to go to an upscale restaurant for dinner. And going to The Keg was absolutely the correct decision! I ordered the Steak and Lobster Tail, with the steak being Chicago charred and medium rare. Yes the steak I first got was almost well-done, but after I told Holly, she immediately took it up to the kitchen. Before long their manager gave me a juicy piece of steak that was perfectly medium rare, along with a lot more vegetables on the side! We also ordered their winter special oysters as the appitizer, and those were scrumptious. What was even more surprising was that the oysters were on them, and they gave us a huge piece of ice cream cake with almond as my birthday gift!! Other than these, the vibe was right, and all other dishes were excellent too. Again, my huge shout-out to Holly, the manager, and the kitchen folks of this Keg!! We will definitely come back here again!

We had a great experience being served by Isabelle. Once our steak was brought to our table one was over cooked and the other was under cooked. We notified Isabelle and she took our steaks back to get them cooked properly. Soon after Brendan the manager came out with our dinner cooked to perfection. He apologized for what happened and took them off our bill. Great service, food came out fast, once it was right the food was amazing. Will definitely be returning again. 5⭐️

Very Impressed!!!! We went out for a family supper with our 2.5 year old who has a severe egg allergy. Going out with an allergy causes some anxiety as it is because egg is in almost everyyything. We informed the waitress of the allergy and the staff took it so seriously we had nothing to be concerned about!! The entire kitchen staff was notified to keep anything that may contain egg away from her order and they kept other foods separate so we could still share off our plates with her. Incredible experience and we will definitely return to this location! We had a fantastic supper out, food was perfect and service immaculate! Thank you to all the staff who were so accommodating ❤️

Strawberry Margarita and New York steak dinner. Table for 2 so we were sat at a 2 seater table which was small, normally me an my friend like to sit beside each other but we took what we can get. Beside us was a table of 8 with young children, we get thats its a family restaurant but it was too noisy for our date so we ordered some double rum and cokes to settle our nerves a bit to try and enjoy our time in. We slammed those and decided we would rather eat at home so we packed up our meals and left. The service and food was great, however, next time we come back we will ask to be sat in a regular sized table thats not so close to a huge family.
