Coliseum Pizza & Steak

Attended Feb 22, 2022. Restaurant had ample parking. Staff were not great, friendly, but mixed up drinks. Decor was aged, however unique race horses and coliseum paintings, plenty of seating even during COVID. Unique dining for sure. Ordered the 12oz steak, it was under cooked however still delicious. Disappointed with type of fries (thick cut). Bathroom was large but dated similar to restaurant’s decor. Price point was on higher end. Overall rating 3/5 stars.

Great unpretentious, old school restaurant. The service my party of 3 received was polite and speedy. We did get refills of pop and my steak sandwich (special of the day) was cooked to order. Seen some criticism of the fries but I personally like beefsteak fries. Big and broad. Friend got baked potato and they do the old style by coming to your table for potato toppings. Great food for a good price with classic charm. This isn't the Keg so don't expect that. It is unpretentious and down to earth food. Great respite from all the Food Channel wannabe restaurants opening these days.

Our family of 12 went to eat at Coliseum Steak and Pizza today Feb 24,2022 after a family funeral service at 11:30. You seated us on short notice, thanks for that. We had the most wonderful beautiful lady that was serving us. We would definitely give her a 10/10 rating. Fast, efficient, remembered everyone’s orders, so professional. Cannot say enough. The food was excellent too but the service was above and beyond. Thank you for your extreme thoughtfulness.

Unfortunately I have be honest, it's who I am. It now MAY 2022 & eaten there 11th. It's 3rd time I've ate there in last 8 months. Pizza is an art & requires a set standard & if custom requests less or more, then the chef adjusts it. Pizza needs 33% Perfection of each 3 categories 😋 Lots of cheese, Lots of other toppings and a Deep Light Rising Fluffy TASTY Crust. This restaurant HAS FAILED my desire 3 visits & others that have told me same opinions, - NOT ENOUGH CHEESE TOPPING. Pizza needs LOTS OF CHEESE- Please increase the standard amount of cheese TOPPING 100% at no extra charge. Your crust is tasty but too dry/hard & not fluffy. ...+ Your other toppings seem plentiful. 1 of 3 category success but I give you 3 star for Service time, politeness and flavor. Prices are a little too high. Royal Pizza has you beat on food quality but they also fail miserably on amount of toppings & way over priced.

I love this place, we've been going here for years. The food is great, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable and warm, the orders never take long and the bill is on the lighter side when compared to other restaurants. Coliseum is an Edmonton classic from a different Era and is really one of a kind. What else can I say? If you like steak, pizza, pasta or burgers I recommend it 👍

Very disappointed. Stopped in with a friend. He ordered the steak. I ordered a large beef and mushroom. I got a medium beef and mushroom. I was then offered a second medium beef and mushroom to take home for the price of a large. I wanted to eat my pizza there. We were not offered refills on our soda or water. So we left thirsty. Waitress never checked in. Too bad as I had heard a lot of good things about place. We left very disappointed
