Earls South Edmonton Commons

Came here to spend Sunday afternoon to watch the basketball game. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. Great view of the TV's. Our server was great, she was friendly. We told her we would be there for awhile and ordering food periodically and she was very attentive throughout the time we were there. Drinks were great. The coconut mint margarita was really good. Food was good. Did not really like the chicken karaage though. The chicken wings and truffle fries were really good. Overall we had a good experience at Earls location.

We had a great meal yesterday. Although the food was really good, what made it great was the service. Alex was one of the best servers I have ever had. She was very knowledgeable about the dishes we asked about which helped us take a chance on some dishes we wouldn’t normally have tried. Her bubbly but professional attitude made the evening more enjoyable. Great job!

Been going here for date night for 4 years. The food is ALWAYS delicious, hot and fast. Service is always flawless! We love going to Earls (and this location) because we know the food will always be good. Bar, patio, lounge, dining room… doesn’t matter. Always the same great service, food and drinks. I have also ordered take out numerous times… the packaging is perfect. And order is always correct! Thank you so much everyone at Earls south common! :)

Our server Maria was amazing 5/5 We showed up just before the rush and it got so busy between when we arrived and when our food showed up that it was a wonder she was able to keep up throughout the meal. A couple not so great things: 1) I ordered a steak, medium rare, and it was lacking in flavour. I've learned not to complain about these things, either you're a steak place or you're not, now I know. 2) At some point the manager came by and asked how the meal/things were. It was a fleeting moment so rushed and meaningless that he didn't even make eye contact, and I'm confident I could have said anything and he would have kept walking. There was no meaningful connection made there. I love the menu here and have had a lot of great experiences with other menu choices, and this day missed the mark. I suggest reading setting the table by Danny Meyer, you're welcome in advance. Edit - in response to this locations comments, I reserved on open table so I know for sure I have the right location. Plausible they don't have a Maria and spelled the name wrong. Possibly Marianne, Mary Anne, Miriam? You know exactly who my server was 😉 Either way not a good look trying to gas light a client. Updated from 3 star to one star because of the comments.
