Accent European Lounge

This is my favorite place to eat in Edmonton when I visit. The Schnitzel is a must try. I don't know what the chefs background or training is, but they are a culinary genius. Even a simple vegetable side bursts with flavour and is a joy to eat. Come hungry, come with friends, eat slow, and savor every bite as the food you will eat is heavenly.

I rarely give a review unless a place is really good or really bad. Accent Lounge is a GREAT little spot. The service was AWESOME! We were a bit late for our reservation and the fellow that greeted us was very courteous about it telling us it was no worry...likely since it was for 5 pm. and he was super nice? We had a young lady with long dark hair serve us and I am sorry I did not get her name. She likely said it, but I am aging ;-). She was so great! The food was VERY Flavorful and you have a wide variety of food to choose from; each sounded delicious! They have a wide selection of local and traditional beers and wines which was wonderful as well. We started with sharing Steak Tartar which is one of their specialties. Oh Yum! Must say one of the best I've tasted. Then on to a Steak Sandwich for my husband and the Maple Dijon Salmon for me. Generous helpings and truly flavorful food, nicely plated too! (I had to snitch several of my husband's roasted potatoes!! Crispy, just delicious! His salad was awesome too! I ...yup, one of those!) He even had bacon on his and he loved it! My salmon was done perfectly, awesome seasonal vegetables, great pasta and the salmon was so tasty that though I was too full to finish my amazing pasta, I could have squeezed in a bit more of their delicious and perfectly done salmon :-). My compliments to the chef!! The only reason i did not five star this place was our table. It was in a great location, but needed repair. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their delicious food!

Love the atmosphere of the place and the fun staff. The food is amazing and I am very happy they've expanded to a late night menu. Beer selection is phenomenal. My favourite, the steak tartare is tasty and I feel incredible full afterwards. I also love their schnitzels and I think they have the best in town.

Great atmosphere, service was great. Appetizers were delicious and large, but at bit disappointed in the mains. The rack of lamb was okay, but the veggies were cut chunky and steamed. There are so many ways to cook delicious zucchini and veggies, a large chunk steamed is not worthy of the price of the dish. I would go back for appetizers, but not for mains.

Looking for a cozy place on a cold night? Or perhaps a place to settle down with some friends over a couple of drinks? Accent lounge offers a quaint environment with low lighting and rugged wood interior. The food menu has a good selection ( I recommend the schnitzel sandwich) and the drinks are plentiful. I have been to accent many times and have always enjoyed the visit. The staff are good at recommending items if you are feeling indecisive and on Friday nights there is live music which was nice to listen to while having a cocktail. I noticed that the business is up for sale and hope to see it stick around for others to enjoy as I have. Accent deserves some good attention.

Just awesome food. I was really surprised especially with the beef ciabatta (this may not be the correct word). It's an appetizer but seriously it was on a different level. The chicken snitzel was awesome. The service was extremely impressive. Lindsay our server was very caring and she came and asked us multiple times if everything was up to the mark. So overall ... Very impressed.

The Good: - Nice atmosphere. - Very clean. - Server was helpful. - My wife's wild salmon was tasty. - The apple strudel and crepes for desert were absolutely delicious! - Local owners from what I gather... not a chain. The Bad: - Food took a very long time to come out. Prepare to wait a while when you dine here. - My New York Strip Loin was warm, not hot, and lacked both flavour and finish. I have a feeling that they "sous vide" their steak as it comes out looking very pale. Maybe they didn't sear it up on the grill enough? In any case, I wouldn't recommend the steak. - The pasta that came with my wife's wild salmon was fairly bland. Overall: I'd say give it a try... your experience with the food may be different depending on what you order. I like the fact that it is somewhat unique, and locally owned.
