The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Windermere

It’s been so long since last time I visited Keg. Tried out this new location in Windmere. Went for a birthday dinner around dinner time. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant is quite dark but I guess that’s how all the restaurants are. Menu changes quite a bit because a lot of veg and appetizer are seasonal. But for salad, their iceberg salad is always a must order, you can never go wrong. Service was decent, it was slow at times but I guess cuz they were quite busy. My favorite dish of the night was the steak with bone in and lobster full meal. Both have really good flavor and cooked perfectly. But if you want lobster, you should go soon because it a seasonal dish! Overall the food was pretty good, lost choices for kids menu too and they gave kids free veggie fruit plate before starting. Go try it out!

We ordered The iced chai n raspberry lemonade. Both the drinks were good. They give complimentary bread to start with. Appetiser we ordered was garlic cheese bread.. it tasted fresh n good just a lil too salty for us. In main course we ordered one vegetarian meatloaf with mashed potatoes and an oven roasted chicken with a side of fries. The taste was good. But The quantity i would say wasn’t good enough for the money they charge per dish. Dessert we ordered mini crème brulee. Which was really delicious. Overall the experience was good. Ambience was really good too. Just a lil pricey.

Experience so good I couldn’t not leave a review! I’ve come to this location a few times and always had a great experience but the other night was fantastic! We came in during a ride and our server Dexter had us laughing the whole time! Not only is the food here always amazing but this is one of the nicest locations with the best service! Can’t wait to come back again soon!

I've never had a bad experience at any Keg in Edmonton so far. Me and a friend went to this location recently as we were going to see a movie afterwards next door. The staff were friendly and as it was fairly early sunday night there wasn't any wait. The bread was nice as always and for dinner went with their mushroom steak special. The mushrooms and sauce were really tasty, wish there was more sauce. The steak was also delicious along side the mashed potatoes. The veggies were nice, but I'd prefer being able to pick 2 sides and not use 1 and being given some seasonal veggies.

It was okay meal at the KEG. The time I went the first time after 2-3 years ago it was better. The food was really good at that time as the prime rib was seasoned perfect. But ya... this time it was okay. The Caesar mussels had no taste but you can taste the alcohol. And that was part of the feature menu. It would been better if it was cooked with tomatoe sauce then it would been better. I ordered prime rib with caesar salad. The salad was meh as not much taste in the dressing. Like it is missing salt or garlic or something. Prime rib is good but needs more seasoning as the sauce and horseradish helps give the rib flavour. Maybe add a touch more missing pepper or salt for the rib. Last the dessert is okay. Nothing to rave about as its pretty much ice cream cake.
