Blossom & Vine Courtyard Cafe Brighton

Thank you so much for providing such a warm and safe place for me to land and unravel. I was very fearful of what to expect but the Refocus team and beautiful surroundings were more than I could have hoped for. After feeling so out of control for so long it was such a relief to realise that I was not alone and to meet others who had been feeling the same and grappling with similar issues. For the first time in years I’ve started to trust that there is help and solutions for me and am establishing relationships that I know can, and will support me going forward.

Loved our stay. Fabulous room with comfy beds and excellent customer service. The staff were attentive and friendly. Situated across the road from the beach , after our morning walk ,we came back to a delicious breakfast basket. This boutique hotel is a delight, close to retail shops and cafes and was perfect for our anniversary/ birthday celebration.

We had our wedding at the Brighton Savoy in the Sea view room on 27/03/2021 and we had the most wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to help us and the whole day/night went so well and the venue looked amazing! All the staff did an excellent job always answering our emails and questions and were very kind and welcoming to us both and all our guests. Our host for the night was also unreal!!! She went above and beyond to help us out with anything and was very accommodating with any changes and keeping everything else on schedule. So thank you Jennifer. The food was also amazing and we had so much excellent feedback from our guests about the food from start to finish and how great the room was set up and the Savoy as a whole. We had such a happy memorable stress free day and I would defiantly recommend having your Wedding or any event here.

Our wedding (scheduled for March 2022) was cancelled by the venue however they refused to refund our deposit until we approached the Media. Sadly, we are only one of many couples in this situation! The owner is citing Government restrictions for the closure however they happily accepted our deposit during the pandemic and held it for three weeks (initially stating that it wouldn’t be returned) after notifying us of the cancellation, before finally refunding it. Communication was poor at best, and I certainly would like to avoid any further dealings with this company.

Hotel has decided to take a personal political stance in regards to reopening once 80/80 vaccination levels have been reached and cancelled our wedding and won't refund us our money. Beware of this hotel, they don't care about anyone except themselves I would hate for anyone else to have this experience. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL accommodation or events! Edit to add: the hotel has since refunded us but has asked we delete/change our reviews. I do not feel this is appropriate as this is my honest review of the hotel. They sent out emails initially stating no changes, refunded or reschedule of dates. You ignored all correspondence from us until there was heat on you with channel 7 and channel 9 and then you suddenly decide to refund us. The stress and anxiety of all of this has been extreme. $4000 was not something I could just loose and what's worse is you don't seem to care, you care more about your image. Had you handled this all differently the Brighton Savoy might be in a very different position.

I can see by reading the reviews on here that we aren't the only people that have lost money to this business. We booked 3 rooms for a date in August 2021 and before l paid l checked their refund policy and was guaranteed a refund if we went back into lock down. When we went back into lockdown l called to request a refund but was told they were only doing credits at that time. I wasn't happy with a credit but didn't argue because l understood they were doing it tough. I just called today to book another date only to be told they are permanently closed. I asked the guy who answered the phone if l could get a refund and was told "No". I then asked him so you are telling me l have lost my money and he told me "Yes". Reading their replies on some of these reviews they are saying they have sent emails and refunded money. I haven't got an email or my money.
