Deerhead Pizza Tavern

My husband picked up a double decker pizza! I had no idea they had them! I was barely able to get through a whole piece! It's stuffed with toppings! I would highly recommend to get some pizza sauce on the side. He got us parmesan and feta. It was amazing! This is a locally owned treasure! I have lived in Evansville my whole life and have had a few things on their menu. Everything I have tried is delicious! I highly recommend it.

Met up for lunch, 1st time here... Staff was friendly. It wasn't very clean or cool considering it was 95° out. A waitress eventually asked if it was warm & then she turned the AC down after. Also they didn't have Crown Apple, I took a Jack Apple/Sprite instead and it was just too watery like flat sprite. But the pizza we shared was damn good!! I really liked it! I will prolly return to try the fried tenderloin sandwich :-)

I was in town for my daughter’s cheer events and had time to eat prior to her performance at Ford Center. I searched area for Pizza places and came across this old school pizza joint. Very friendly staff, local / home town atmosphere!! Had to try double decker pizza and was not disappointed! It’s very filling, so took plenty home for leftovers 😁 saved this spot in my maps for the next time I get down to the area.

Wanted to support somewhere local, and wanted some pizza for the weekend. I am a food delivery driver and have picked up pizza for customers from here and really wanted to try it out after smelling it in the car taking it to customers. We got the three ingredients pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and spinach. It was absolutely delicious. The sauce and things are a little sweet, and the pizza is very thin and crispy. They do the checkerboard pizza cut style for easy sharing, and the bread sticks were very good. Golden brown and the cheese dip was great as well. I would definitely recommend deerhead pizza as one of, if not the best local pizza shops in town at the moment. Looking forward to trying more menu options in the future!

Decided to come here for a bite to eat and a couple drinks although skeptical about ordering food in a bar I was very much satisfied by what I ordered. The drinks were good and cold and music being played made it a very enjoyable experience. I will be returning very soon to try something different.
