Chicken 'n Salsa

This seems to be a little known gem within the Evansville community. Sporting a unique name as Chicken 'n Salsa, this mexican joint is a down to earth restaurant that sports a fairly good sized menu with a few items not seen in the other Mexican places in the area. I was intrigued by the street tacos as they had both beef tongue and beef tripe. While the names may turn some people off the beef tongue is actually very delicious. I did end up settling for steak and eggs as it just sounded good and it was. Steak and eggs were both cooked exactly how I wanted. The home fries were also a nice change of pace and were crisp and piping hot as it arrived to my table. This place does have quite a few standard American style dishes so it does have a little something extra for those who may not be in the mood for Mexican but want some great food. Service was fantastic and attentive. I was never out of drink nor was I ever not asked if I needed anything. I was surprised to come across this place but I am definitely glad that I did. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I thought it was excellent! Great food, huge portions. Vet much impressed! I wish I could talk them into thinner chips and thicker salsa:'). Will definitely be returning! Clean, and conscientious service! Came back 3 more times. Salsa is excellent now, they must of had an off night. Easily our favorite Mexican resteraunt of any place we have been to all over the country! The best!!!

Wanted to give this place a try and was disappointed. When we walked in it was dirty, the tables were full of food that had not been picked up. They had space heaters to keep warm . We went to sit down and asked for a drink menu and they said they didn’t serve alcohol. But online there are pictures of several drinks they serve. We left .
