The hostess/server and chef were gracious and kept our tea cups full. Unfortunately I can't speak as highly of the food. The 'Sushi Regular,' is extremely pricey for 6 small pieces of low-end sushi, which included imitation crab and tamago. One piece of fish (it looked like sea bass,) definitely tasted off, even a bit grassy. The chef puts wasabi under every piece of fish which I wasn't particularly fond of. Overall, I don't think I'll be rushing to come back any time soon.

I have been going to this restaurant for decades, the food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. I love the nagasaki special and their ginger salad dressing can't be beat! But it's always chilly inside so bring a sweater!

Family-owned, and it shows. Always fresh and well prepared, have never had a bad meal there. Quiet, low-key, great food, nice people. Can't ask for much more for a quiet night out. No show at the hibachi tables thankfully--they cook for you to eat, not for entertainment.

I hate writing bad reviews of any kind, but I have to say something. I was just gonna let it go but the good reviews are baffling to me. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday last year (August) because it was nearby and the reviews were great. We love going out for sushi, so we're always looking for new go-tos. It was a Wednesday night at around 6pm, and there was no one else in the entire restaurant. We were sat at a table, which was sorta sticky to start. Then I saw a tiny ant. I squished it, figured it was a fluke, and moved on. We got our sushi, which was just sorta okay flavor-wise, nothing great, but also not very cold. It was getting uncomfortably close to being room temp, even right after they brought it out. I saw three more ants, on the table, that evening. In hindsight, we should have just left, even if they made us pay anyway. We ate most of the sushi (more because we were hungry than anything, but also didn't want to start a big fuss) and paid, and left. We now refer to it as "the sad sushi place". I felt horrible since it was his birthday, so I took him down to Red Star by the mall instead as a sort of apology, and I really wish we just decided to forgo sushi and started there instead. The search continues for better sushi, unfortunately. I hope it was just a bad experience for us, and that others love it anyway, but we will definitely not be back, nor recommending it. Sorry.

We found a bug in water cup and we asked for some discount. And the hostess said it’s not our problem, a bug could have fallen in from air. It was far from being a gnat! So we asked for manager. She got upset. Manager came and agreed that we should get discount for this.

Spent $35 on the worst sushi I've ever had last week. The fish was brown and smelled funky. Honestly. I used to like this place years ago, but it's gone down hill unfortunately.
