Austin Taco

Excellent food, helpful staff. I've been vegetarian since I was a child, and their Beyond Beef tacos are the first "beef" tacos I've had in 20 years. Surpassed my expectations for sure, they're delicious. We also got the queso and churros, both of which were equally delicious. My (Latino) partner ordered the barbecue tacos and called them an un-Mexican abomination but a spectacular one he'll happily eat again. We'll definitely be going back :)

The service was outstanding, from the young lady who took our order, to the gentleman who brought it to our table. If you like your Queso spicy, Torchy’s is for you. We also had the Fried Avacado and Beef Fajita. The food was good, not outstanding. My only disappointment: I wanted Hi-C from the soda fountain but only water came out and there didn’t seem to be any urgency to change it.

I moved here from Texas and I'm happy to say this location is consistent with quality, proportion sizes, and service! I came in last night and the computer wasn't keeping up and ended up not adding one of my tacos. After we realized it wasn't on the order, Ryann ended up giving it to us for free even after I insisted on paying for it. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience and was so friendly and apologetic. Torchy's is a 35 minute drive from my house, but I'll continue to be a loyal customer because I've never had a bad experience here! My only disappointment is that they don't have the prickly pear lemonade I got in Texas. It's DELICIOUS!
