Cake This

I'm not one to write reviews as I find most I read about anywhere are usually negative and mostly untrue. The Cake Cottage is my exception, this place is a real hidden gem, I have been visiting here for years now and love all their home baked goods ......they bake everything themselves and my favorite are their yummy donuts and raspberry rings. I regularly pop in for a coffee and treat and enjoy while reading my book. They made my hubby's 50th birthday cake last year ..it was amazing and tasted incredible, we have another celebration coming up in a few months and looking forward to what they will create. I cannot recommend this gorgeous place enough , they are really busy at times but the staff are really friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work !!!

Staff friendly. Options on the menu. We had a donut, was drenched in oil and that's all you can take when eating it. Also had a cupcake nothing special. It's a shame that with so few patisseries around they haven't made more of an effort to improve. Lots of potential and interior is nice. Wouldn't go again in the short term unless I know that they have improved.

Today we went in to put an order for a cake for our son's christening, no one came to talk to us for 10 mins and then a lady comes out asking us what we want and we told her and she is like we are about to close in 20 mins. She literally told us that she can't help as they were closing soon. According to the clock in their shop it was more than half an hour. Extremely disappointed by the attitude of their staff. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Cake consultation went well. Cake was delicious, however it was not delivered on time as agreed for my wedding. So cake was late and did not look like the one we ordered though we were assured they had done the cake before. Icing was falling off the cake when we cut it. Quite disappointed with the turn out given the event.
