Goldmine Family Restaurant

I was craving a fried pork chop, a quick Google search led me here. I walked into a restaurant full of elderly/older white people and was honestly a little nervous. Wasn’t sure if this place catered to certain dietary restrictions or something but I decided to stay. I made the right decision! Everyone was friendly, especially my waitress. She was busy working 6 tables at once but she kept a smile on her face the whole time! I ordered the fried pork chop, fried okra, green beans, and butter beans. Everything was flavorful, hot, and delicious. It was too much food so sadly I didn’t eat all of it but I will definitely be back to try some other dishes!!! Oh and it was on the lunch menu so I only paid $9 for my food! Highly recommend!!!

If you're looking for great homestyle, comfort food this is the place to go! Actually it was so good I forgot to take pics. The food is cooked fresh to order so it takes a minute; atmosphere is nice. It's service with a smile and super friendly. The portions are enough for 2 people so you'll have plenty to take home for a second meal. And the prices are reasonable.

We have given this place 3 tries because our friends and neighbors spoke highly of it. Well, maybe in the past, but not now. We gave this place a 2 star rating because on one visit 1 server and 1 girl training to be a server were very nice, agreeable and made our time there memorable. The place is dirty and the seating needs repair. Dust on the windows above us and very boring otherwise. The last time we were there the server argued with us and said what we experienced did not happen and swore they haven't had baked chicken for months! Not true. She was very rude and even said everything on this menu will be $2.00 more!!! In that manner. The prices were already unreal and the extra made it more unreal! I wanted to leave but my husband wanted something on the menu so I settled for a chalupa. Their food is not real good to begin with but what we got was awful. Three strikes and out!

Always good food. Some items getting a little more expensive partly due to cost increases but still reasonable on most. Service is always friendly but some times order can take awhile (even when businesses is slow). Food and portions are great except steak cuts (not the chicken fried). I opt for grilled pork chops to get my steak fix. Trust me on this one.
